God Himself appoints and removes leaders… and teaches us believers through His Word, "submission" and quiet, whereas the carnal mind only sees murmuring and discontent. Whatever the person in authority over us are themselves subject to God who is the "just power" …and in turn must be submitted to and obeyed. The recent 2016 election in the United States was certainly one of the most aggressive races in history. The liberal left seemed rather shocked and upset that their candidate didn’t win. How could this be? Surely their candidate should have won? This loss had a lot of people across the world wondering just how much of a role God plays in appointing leaders. Luckily for us, the Bible answers this question!

"Every person should obey the government in power. No government would exist if it hadn't been established by God. The governments which exist have been put in place by God. Consequently, the one who resists authority is opposing what God has set in place, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves!" Romans 13:1-2. To understand this is very important! There are many more Scriptures in the Bible that are consistent with God appointing a leader… Proverbs 18:15, 24:21; Daniel 5:18-23, 3:17; 1 Chronicles 28:4-5; John 19:11; Acts 2:41; 1 Timothy 2:2 and Titus 3:1. You see, it is God who controls the course of events and … "It is God who alters the times and seasons, and he removes kings and promotes kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning," Daniel 2:21. In the general course of human affairs, not all rulers are honest, quiet, and good subjects, but instead evil-doers. Such is the power of sin and corruption, that many will be kept back from crimes only by the fear of punishment.

If it’s true that “there is no authority except that which God has establish… should we bother to vote if God is just going to elect who He wants, anyway? If all leaders are appointed by God, why do they disagree? Why does God appoint evil leaders? Why not just appoint righteous ones? Must we follow the orders of evil leaders? Here’s our take on this… some Christians actually say no, and forgo voting in favour of prayer and prayer is a good thing. They believe that since God will divinely appoint the leader he desires anyway, voting is futile. They feel the most important thing is for them to pray that God will rise up a worthy leader. And, some say they vote because they know how God would want them to vote but this is not entirely true! An example here is that in the 2012 US election, the majority of the religious-right voted for the more religiously conservative candidate, McCain, but God appointed the opposing candidate for a second term.

Barack Hussein Obama was (and still is) the most radical liberal the world has seen in a world leader and under his leadership much evil across the world including the rise of ISIS who is bent on forming an Islamic Caliphate …and as the world watched Christians being martyred and Jews persecuted while he sat back and did nothing but promote his fundamental ideologies. Obama insulted PM Bibi Netanyahu by making him come through the back door at the White House and openly show his despise of Israel many times through his control of the corrupt, bias liberal Media. Obama has stood with the enemies of Israel, backing a so-called Palestinian State at the United Nations, signing a deal with Iran to the detriment of Israel and vehemently refused to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Obama has treated Israel and the Jews of Judea and Samaria (so-called Westbank) poorly as he insisted that they move out from their homes and give more land to the Palestinians …and much more.

This suggests that God’s will was actually for Obama to win and that the religious right didn’t understand God’s will at all…? What we learn from this in the Bible is that God appoints leaders and also says that He controls their behaviour …for in the end His purposes will come to pass…! “The king’s heart is like a stream of water directed by the LORD, He guides it wherever He pleases,” Proverbs 21:1. Wow, that’s so important because we then realise that He is in control. Just look at this… “But the LORD hardened Pharaoh’s heart and would not listen to Moses and Aaron, “Exodus 9:12. After all, it’s supposed to be man and Satan who desire evil, not our God. So then why the evil leaders? While Christians sometimes admit to struggling with this question, the suggestions they offer usually fall into two categories: 1) God does it to judge a people or nation and/or 2) God does it to bring about an even greater good. Of course, God could just send a plague or rain down some fire and brimstone, but sometimes He prefers to work through evil men because He knows their corrupt hearts and motives.

 God is a good God and is always attempting to bring about some greater good… such as saving souls or bringing about the coming End Times just as His Word tells us will ultimately come to pass!  “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose,” Romans 8:28. Some well-meaning believers try to wriggle out of this conclusion by claiming that God, in fact, does not appoint all leaders, pointing to Hosea 8:4, “They set up kings without My consent, they choose princes without My approval!” This is actually what happened during the November, 2016 American elections when the liberal left in fact tried and failed to set up Hillary Clinton as their nation’s leader… you see she wasn’t in God’s plan but mans! The Biblical consensus is overwhelming that it is God who appoints leaders, and is in control of those in power! So, it’s a logical impossibility for there to exist “no authority except that which God has established” and for there to also exist authorities that God has not established. Either - God establishes all authority, or he does not, you can’t have it both ways!

So, we began on a journey of prayer, discovery and taking a deeper look prophetically at why Donald Trump was elected the next, 45^th President of the United States of America …and the next World leader that would replace 44^th President Barack Obama …and in fact could only see the Hand of Almighty God. You see, Clinton was “selected” by the people BUT Trump was “elected” by the people. The word “elect” is about choosing somebody to do a particular job, but the word “select” is about choosing somebody or something according to a system. Now take a look at this… Obama was the number 44 means; “bloodshed/ judgement /perdition” BUT Trump is the number 45 means; “provision/protection preservation.”

Donald Trump was born on 14^th June, 1946 and will be 70 years, 7 months and 7 days old precisely on Presidential Inauguration Day, which is on Friday 20^th January, 2017 in the current Hebrew Calendar (Biblical) Year 5777. Coincidence…? That’s pretty hard to have happened by coincidence. In the Bible, the number 7 means perfection and completion. Prophetic…? You better believe it! From the Feast of Trumpets which was on 3^rd October, 2016 (Tishrei 1) until 20^th September, 2017 (Elul 29) is the Hebrew Year in 5777. We are in the year 5777 now. The Biblical Timeline of Israel and everything is landing on 7’s and there is a “sign” in the heavens in 2017 on the Feast of Trumpets which is the end of 5 and 777’s. If we calculate from his date of birth until his first day in office on the 21^st January then it turns out that he will be 70 years, 7 months and 8 days.  It’s actually more amazing as you see the Inauguration Day is a huge deal! So, it’s also very interesting - his birth day to Inauguration Day. Another important aspect is that the number 8 means; “New Beginnings” and “New Birth!” However, Donald Trump has also stated that work would start immediately on the same day straight after his inauguration. His first day in the White House the “NEW Beginning” – starting over!

What is the meaning of numbers of the Year 5 and 777…? The number 5 means; “Grace and God’s goodness.” The number 7 means; “Completeness, Perfection, To End.” The number 70 means; “Israel’s Captivity and Return.” Seventy is also specially connected with Jerusalem. Seventy has a sacred meaning in the Bible that is made up of the factors of two perfect numbers, seven (representing “perfection”) and ten (representing “completeness” and “God's law”). As such, it symbolizes perfect “Spiritual order” carried out with ALL power of God. 777 means; “Messiah” - Yeshua (Jesus), and the “Seven days of Creation;” the seven, or “completion.” Our generation is certainly living in very Prophetic Times! 

This generation shall not pass… We are not predicting dates but want to show you something very interesting in Israel’s timeline. These are the words of Yeshua (Jesus) in the Olivet Discourse as He was predicting the “Parable of the Fig Tree!” We are able to align this since almost 2000 years have gone past. In Luke 17:26 Yeshua says, “As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.” This is the end of this Dispensation and the Age of Grace where people will return to the Days of Noah and the focus will go back onto Israel again – the time of Jacob’s Trouble or Daniel’s 70^th Week. In Genesis 6 we see that the earth was evil and so we see the announcement of Yahweh of the coming judgement of the flood, 120 years before it happened. He says, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever for he is flesh and his days shall be 120 years,” Genesis 6:3. So this brings up a question… what is a generation?

The Bible has numerous numbers for generations, 50, 70, 80, 120. The fact is that Yahweh pronounced the coming flood judgement 120 years prior to the flood! The flood is a fore picture of the Tribulation period since everyone that was not to be saved to restart over again and repopulate the earth were all killed. Yeshua (Jesus) does that when He comes back in Revelation 19, when He wipes out everybody except those who were saved through the Tribulation period. The Jews will go to Petra, they are saved, it’s the woman of Revelation 12 as she flees into the wilderness for 1260 days. Also, Yeshua prophesied that when you see the “abomination of desolation” standing where it shouldn’t be, in the 3^rd Temple that has not yet been rebuilt. When they see, this happen they will flee and these are Messianic Jews (believing in Yeshua – Jesus). The Body of Christ together with the Messianic Jews will reign with a “rod of iron” (Revelation 2:25). So, the next flood will be the Tribulation period, as it was in the days of Noah – it’ going to repeat but is not going to be with water! Let’s look at the Parable of the Fig Tree (Matthew 24:32-34) – this generation shall not pass! The Fig Tree is Israel. The prophecy of Israel coming back after the 2^nd Temple in 70AD in Jerusalem was destroyed. The prophecy is that in a 120 Years from a certain period of time, that basically the next “flood” (Tribulation) would begin.

God’s Prophetic Timeline for Israel: 1897 – 1917 – 1947 – 1967 – 2017 = 120 years …

1897: Interesting that in 1897, the first Zionist congress (Fig Tree budding). Theodor Herzl who was the creator and head of the First Zionist organization for first 7 years, and his desire was to create a Jewish State. 1897! He wrote in his diary just a couple of days after the congress had met in Basel, Switzerland; "In Basel I founded the Jewish State, and if I said it out loud today I would be greeted with universal laughter. In 5 years, perhaps? And, in 50 years everyone would perceive it!" So, he claims that he founded the Jewish State! It was basically a seed planted and unknowingly at that time - he nailed it! It’s interesting that that just in 20 years the Balfour Declaration would be signed. (Remember hardly anyone could even connect to Israel – as Ottoman Turks were in control).

1917: Within 20 years later from 1897 (1897+20=1917). In 1917 the British issued the Balfour Declaration which was the first official act to allow the Jews the right to re-settle in their ancient homeland, then Palestine. In this time period the Ottoman Empire ruled and lost control over Jerusalem in 1917 and so the Balfour Declaration was created for Israel. It was a British Mandate that basically made Jerusalem "a no man’s land." What’s interesting here is that in 50 years it would bring us to 1967. From 1917 until 1967 was a "Jubilee Year!"

1947: Within 50 years later from 1897 (1897+50=1947) from here it would be 1947 when the United Nations General Assembly voted to create the State of Israel. That’s very interesting – Theodor Herzl nailed it! This is called "the first budding of the Fig Tree!" The Fig Tree is Israel and was just getting started - "budding" and "spouting" forth its leaves.

1967: Within 50 years later from 1917 (1917+50=1967). So, in 1967, the Jews recaptured Jerusalem during the 6 day Yom Kippur War! Jerusalem once again back in the hands of the Jewish people. Remember this was a "Jubilee Year" beginning in 1917 until 1967! Before this Jerusalem was a "no man’s land!"

2017 (5777 - Biblical Year): Within 50 years later from 1967 until 2017 is another "Jubilee Year! This is like the beginning 1897; the next step was 1917 – the Balfour Declaration; then next step a vote to create Israel, then the next step 1947 where the UN General Assembly voted to create Israel, 1947 first signing on 29^th November, 1947 to create State of Israel, then we know in 1948 there was the war of Independence. Though there was always a remnant of Jews in Israel they started returning to Israel from 1917 until 1948 according to God’s plan and promise…but the Arabs started the war because they didn’t like this! So, between 1947 and 1967 – Israel had no control over their capital Jerusalem. There is a sign in the heavens! 2017 is going to be a very interesting year so buckle up! The next thing we believe is about to happen is that Jerusalem will rebuild the 3^rd Temple (Revelation 11) so it will be happening soon!

From the first Zionist Congress in 1897 = 120 Years! We had 20 years 1897-2017 plus two Jubilees (50+50=100) 1917-1967 and 1967-2017 = 120 Years (20^th September, 2017). If these events of actual history were planned on those years by God Himself then this is His Story and He is trying to tell us something with that. In 2008, in the Israel Today Magazine, Ludwick Shneider wrote about the Prophecy of Rabbi Judah Ben Samuel - “Prophecy of Ten Jubilees,” who said in 1217 just before he died …that the prophecy would start when the Ottoman Turks conquer Jerusalem (and exactly happened 300 years later in 1517), he said that they will rule over Jerusalem for 8 Jubilees = 400 years which then brings us to 1917! Afterwards he said it would become a “no man’s land” for 1 Jubilee (50 years - which perfectly also lines up with the liberation of Jerusalem in 1967! And, then in the 10^th Jubilee once again Jerusalem will come back into possession of the Jewish nation and then would signify the beginning of the Messianic End Time.” 800 = “multiple of eight” meaning “Resurrection,” the beginning of a new era. 500 = “multiple of 50”- Jubilee of Deliverance and also a “multiple of 5’s” = “Grace.” 400 = “s Divinely perfect period. 100 = “Children of Promise.” 50 = “Jubilee or deliverance.” Wow! Once again we want to say that we are not date setters but this was a prophecy spoken 800 years ago. In his prophecy has to do with Jubilees and also figure 8! The figure 8 means;” New Birth” and “New Beginnings!”

The number 50; is the number of “Jubilee and unification” for example the days between Passover and Pentecost. The number 70 represents; “the beginning and the end” – “Israel and her restoration.”  And seventy according to Daniel 9 is the number of “fulfilment.” So, 50 and 70 represents the “beginning and the end” and in between is the number 60 which means “support.” God reminds us that He is the pillar that “supports” the “Beginning and the End” so that all goes according to His plan! 100 means “the children of promise.” Amazing Israel and the Jews as the Balfour Declaration! 120 means “a Divinely appointed period of probation!”

God’s language to us through numbers is very important, and He tells us why they should be just as important to us… “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” (Psalms 90:12) God is very mathematical.  Scripture says He has numbered our days, months, steps, our wanderings, the stars, our hair!  We know He numbers the days in the planetary movement, along with pregnancy gestations in man and animals.  The whole universe is mathematically structured and ordered (Job 14:5, 14:16; Psalm 56:8, 90:12, 147:4 and Matthew 10:30)!  The Lord often mentions timing when He speaks of seasons, years, months, days, hours, minutes and even seconds.  When the Lord quickens numbers, sometimes they represent a period of time. “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven ! - Ecclesiastes 3:1-8.

First let’s ask ourselves the following questions… Could God not use the wicked and ungodly to bring about His plans and purposes thousands of years ago …and can He not still do the same thing again, especially in the midst of the crisis that we find our world in today…? Yes! We must remember that God has also chosen evil men and women in the past and in our day - who have ignored and rebelled against Him to accomplish His plans and bring His will to pass.  We have certainly seen this happen over the past eight years with Barak Obama the 44^th US President and his liberal Admin. together with other world leaders of our day. How does “chaos” and “bloodshed” help the world? God in His mercy has heard the cries of His people and is doing - a “New thing!” History recalls that Hitler was an evil man and so God had to start all over in Germany after removing the Nazi regime. Obama has brought “judgement” through his rebellion and lawlessness.

There are signs in the heavens right now! Something is about to happen and we anticipate 2017 a very prophetic Year… and we believe that God has raised up Donald Trump the 45^th US President for the following reasons and it’s all about Israel! God in His great wisdom throughout the course of human history, has chosen leaders - to fulfil His plans and purposes through men and women who have yielded to the sound of His voice. One such man was King Cyrus mentioned in Isaiah 45. We are astounded with this prophecy as we believe God has chosen Donald Trump, just like Cyrus and it’s all about JERUSALEM and ISRAEL! Let’s take a look… One of the truly astounding prophecies of the Bible is found in Isaiah 44: 28; “That said of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure, even saying to Jerusalem, you shall be built; and to the temple, your foundation shall be laid!” What many people do not realize in reading Isaiah 44:28 is that this heathen ruler was named by the prophet long before the monarch was even born. Isaiah prophesied in the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah (Isaiah 1:1). His ministry thus occurred in the latter portion of the eighth century B.C. (740 – 701 B.C.). This was some 150 years before Cyrus came to the throne! Isaiah 45:1-4; “Thus says the Lord to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held; To subdue nations before him and loose the armour of kings, to open before him the double doors, so that the gates will not be shut: ‘I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel. For Jacob, My servant’s sake, And Israel My elect, I have even called you by your name; I have named you, though you have not known Me. I am the Lord, and there is no other; There is no God besides Me. I will gird you, though you have not known Me, that they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting that there is none besides Me.”

Should he make good on his promises to Israel, as we believe that he would, Donald Trump will make history by being the first American President that would actually move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Israel’s Capital City – Jerusalem! No other country has ever done this and so this will undoubtedly show the Muslim world that America stands firm with the Jewish Homeland – Israel. It will also confirm that he does not support a Palestinian Statehood and that Jerusalem remains firmly Israel’s. Donald Trump highly respects and honours Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu unlike Obama. Another aspect that we believe though not many have seen this is that we believe it will be the perfect timing for the Jews to build their 3^rd Temple! When this happens, we believe that it may be either that war would break out because the Muslim World could retaliate since their Al Aksa Mosque situated on the ruins of the 1^st and 2^nd Temples on what is known as the Temple Mount! Or peace the coming - “false peace” as prophesied (Daniel 8:14; 9:27; 12:11; Matthew 24:15; Mark 13:14). Time will tell!

The coming 3^rd Temple… If this news doesn’t get us excited then we really are missing it because on the 10^th November, 2016, directly after Donald trump won the US Presidential Election: “The Nascent Sanhedrin is calling on Russian President Vladimir Putin and US president-elect Donald Trump to join forces and fulfil their Biblically - mandated roles by rebuilding the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. Rabbi Hillel Weiss, spokesman for the Sanhedrin, contacted Breaking Israel News to announce that the election of Trump, who has promised to recognize Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel, coupled with Putin’s expressed desire for the Temple to be rebuilt, prompted the Jewish court to send a letter offering the two the opportunity to act as modern-day Cyrus figures non-Jewish kings who recognize the importance of Israel and the Temple. Cyrus the Great, King of Persia in the 6^th Century BC, announced in the first year of his reign that he was prompted by God to make a decree that the Temple in Jerusalem should be rebuilt. “Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah,” Ezra 1:2.

Cyrus sent the Jews under his rule back to Israel with a considerable sum of money with which to rebuild the Temple. The Sanhedrin plans to call on the two world leaders to take up this Ancient Biblical decree and support the Jewish people in their holy mission. Rabbi Weiss explained that the US elections have made the eternal Jewish dream a very real possibility. “We are poised to rebuild the Temple. The political conditions today, in which the two most important national leaders in the world support the Jewish right to Jerusalem as their spiritual inheritance, is historically unprecedented,” Rabbi Weiss told Breaking Israel News. He also emphasized that supporting the Jewish claim to Jerusalem would bring benefit Russia and America, as well as the entire world. “The leaders of Russia and America can lead the nations of the world to global peace through building the Temple, the source of peace,” Rabbi Weiss explained. “This will offset the disgraceful UNESCO resolutions that are the root cause of increasing terror and violence.” In October 2016, the United Nations (UNESCO) passed two resolutions denying any connection between the City of Jerusalem and the Jewish people, ceding to Islam a religious monopoly on many of Judaism’s holiest sites.

Cyrus is mentioned some twenty-three times in the Old Testament… Isaiah refers to Cyrus as God’s “shepherd,” the Lord’s “anointed,” who was providentially appointed to facilitate the divine plan. God would lead this monarch to “subdue nations” and “open doors” (an allusion to the Jews’ release from Babylonian captivity). He would make “rough places smooth,” i.e., accommodate the Hebrews’ return to their Palestinian homeland. He would ultimately be responsible for the rebuilding of Jerusalem and the reconstruction of the Temple. Amazingly, the king would accomplish these noble tasks even though he did not “know” God (Isaiah 45:4-5). In other words, though he was a pagan in sentiment and practice, yet, as an unconscious tool in the hands of the Lord, he would contribute mightily to the Jewish cause …and so, indirectly, to the Coming of God’s greater Anointed, Yeshua (Jesus Christ). The fulfilment of these plain and specific predictions is set forth in 2 Chronicles 36:22-23 and Ezra 1:1-4, 7-8; 3:7; 4:3. The Encyclopaedia Britannica, acknowledges that in 538 BC, Cyrus granted to the Jews, whom Nebuchadnezzar had transported to Babylonia, the return to Palestine and the rebuilding of Jerusalem and its temple” (1958, 940). And, H. G. Wells, in his book; “The Outline of History,” concedes that the Jews “returned to their city, Jerusalem” and “rebuilt their Temple there under the auspices of Cyrus,” the Persian monarch (1931, p. 253).

The Bible records that certain people are foreordained to be born and carry out specific tasks for God during their lifetime and a few of these individuals are even named before their birth. “King Cyrus” or “Cyrus the Great” was extremely important as he was one of these individuals whom God had predestined to play a pivotal role in his awesome plan for humanity. He was an important person, because God destroyed the Babylonian Empire through him, and brought a close to a 70-year punishment of the Jews that God imposed on them for their rebellion against Him. Also through King Cyrus, God set into motion his seventy-week prophecy that fixed the year for the Messiah's death and resurrection, and reveals the sequence of events and dates for the Messiah's return which will bring to an end human rule of the earth, and usher in the government of God to rule over the entire earth! And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. Inasmuch as you saw that a stone was cut out of the mountain without hands and that it crushed the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold, the great God has made known to the king what will take place in the future; so, the dream is true and its interpretation is trustworthy,” Daniel 2:44-45.

The Sanhedrin’s letter notes that Trump’s upset victory was due to his support of Jerusalem… and reminds Trump of his campaign promise to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, effectively recognizing the city as the Capital of Israel. The Jerusalem Embassy Act, passed in Congress in 1995, initiated the moving of the embassy, but has been vetoed by every American president since. The Sanhedrin calls on Trump to withhold the veto after he takes office. The Sanhedrin also recalled Putin’s connection to the Temple in its letter.

During his third official trip to Jerusalem in 2012, Putin paid a late-night visit to the Western Wall. When he arrived at the holy site, the Russian leader stood in silence for several minutes, offering up a personal prayer, after which he read Psalms from a Russian-Hebrew prayer book. An Israeli bystander called out in Russian, “Welcome, President Putin.” Putin approached the man, who explained the importance of the Temple Mount and the Jewish Temple. Chadrei Charedim, an Orthodox Hebrew news site, reported that Putin responded; “That’s exactly the reason I came here – to pray for the Temple to be built again.”

After this remarkable exchange, the Sanhedrin sent a letter to Putin calling on him to fulfil his prayer. At the time, President Putin did not respond to the Sanhedrin’s request, but now that the incoming US president is a potential ally in the project, the Sanhedrin believes it is time for Putin to take an active role in rebuilding the Temple. In addition to its requests concerning the Temple, the Sanhedrin is also calling on Putin and Trump to renew the 1920 League of Nations Resolution known as the “San Remo treaty,” which essentially enabled the creation of a Jewish State by dividing the Ottoman Empire. It incorporated the Balfour Declaration, issued by Great Britain in 1917, which gave official recognition and backing for the establishment of Israel. US President Calvin Coolidge ratified the San Remo agreement in 1925, thus making recognition of a Jewish State legally binding by US law. The Sanhedrin emphasized that it is imperative at this time, when the Palestinian Authority is attempting to rewrite world history by campaigning against the Balfour declaration, to strengthen the historic American commitment to the State of Israel by readopting the agreement.

The 3^rd Temple will be rebuilt, but will be taken over by the Antichrist… “And he (the antichrist) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate,” Daniel 9:27. How can you have sacrifice and oblations ceasing if there is no Temple from which to have sacrifices and oblations? Clearly there needs to be a working, functioning, rebuilt Temple, and the only place where God would allow a Temple to be built is exactly where the ruins of the last one now stand. This Temple will be taken over, as Daniel the prophet foresaw, but the “Lawless One,” commonly known as the “Antichrist,” at exactly three and one half years after the start of the Time of Jacob's Trouble. This Temple will not be the LORD's Temple; the Glory of God will not inhabit it. Daniel was given a vision far into the future, pointing to a time when the Jewish Temple would be rebuilt. The Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD, and for nearly 2,000 years now it has laid in ruins, with just parts of the Temple walls and some of the foundations remaining. Daniel clearly saw that there is a re-built temple!

In the near future, an event of enormous significance will transpire in Jerusalem, the effects of which will resound throughout the world and throughout eternity.  A man will ascend the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, go into the Holy of Holies within the re-built Jewish Temple, and proclaim himself to be God Almighty.  In His Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24:15), a response to His disciple’s questions concerning the End of the Age, Jesus Christ warned His followers that this event, known as “the abomination of desolation,” will be the key event which will trigger the Great Tribulation. When this event occurs, it will dominate contemporary news headlines.  Christ tells us it will also be a sign to the world that His “Glorious Appearing” is close at hand. 

God’s Word is true! He IS watching to see how the nations are treating His people. God will have mercy on Israel through Gentile believers acting as mediators towards them. This is one of the most amazing revelations ever given to the church – an opportunity to do something that carries the highest priority in the heart of God. Yet… sadly, so few have seen the potential and the rewards of serving God in this manner - as agents of mercy to Israel and the Jewish people! Israel was and still is despised today… and a despisable nation continually turning away from God but nothing ever altered the purpose of God for that nation. The despised element is always a noticeable element in the purpose of God. When the Saviour of the world came, He came of that despised nation; like Israel… He Himself was “despised and rejected by men,” …and there is that despised element, “…things that are despised God has chosen,” 1 Corinthians 1:28. Now more than at any time is the time to support Israel and the Jewish people - the Lord’s Brethren! We are witnessing the nations and people turning their backs on Israel.
