“Prophetic Graveyards!”

Shalom Partner and Friend of Israel,

“And He brought me back to the gate, the gate which faces toward the east, but it was shut. And, the Lord said to me, ‘This gate shall be shut; it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter by it, because the Lord God of Israel has entered by it, therefore it shall be shut.” Ezekiel 44:1-3

The “Graveyard” at the Eastern Gate in Jerusalem The Bible tells us that the Messiah would come through the Eastern Gate (Matthew 21:1-5) and this gate would be closed and remain closed, because He was rejected by the Jews, (Luke 19:41-42, 44) and until His return …and is accepted by them. The Eastern Gate has been closed for 2,000 years, even though there were attempts to re-open it, they all failed. The walls and gates of Jerusalem have been torn down and rebuilt on the very same spot each time. Jewish Rabbi’s teach that the Messiah will be sent by God, from the Eastern skies and will be a “great military man” …and enter the Eastern Gate and liberate the city from foreign control. To prevent this from happening, Ottoman Sultan, Suleiman the magnificent in 1541 sealed up the Eastern Gate and put a cemetery in front of it believing that the precursor Elijah, to the anointed Jewish Messiah would not defile Himself by walking through a Muslim cemetery but little did they know that they were fulfilling prophecy! When Yeshua (Jesus) returns He will go through this gate again (Acts 1:10-12) and as a “great military man” some day in the near future, will fight those nations who come against Jerusalem (Zechariah 14:3-4)! The Eastern gate holds a very special holiness for Jewish people who believe that the Shekinah or Divine Presence used to appear through this gate and will appear again but in the meantime it must be left untouched!

Lift up your heads, O gates; and be lifted up, O everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? Jehovah strong and mighty, Jehovah mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O gates; even lift up, O everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? Jehovah of Hosts, He is the King of glory,” Psalm 24:7-10.

The valley of the Dry Bones (Ezekiel 37)… Ezekiel was a Hebrew prophet who lived from 620 to 570 B.C. and spent much of his life in Babylonian captivity. God gave Ezekiel a prophetic vision concerning the future of the nation of Israel and also gave him the interpretation of the vision. In this vision, God showed Ezekiel a valley filled with a vast number of dry bones. He told Ezekiel that the dead bones were the house of Israel, which had been slain (Ezekiel 37:9-11). In Ezekiel’s vision, these Jews cry out, “Our bones are dried up and our hope has perished! We are completely cut off, Ezekiel 37:11.” This part of Ezekiel’s vision actually came to pass in A.D. 70 when the Roman army laid siege to Jerusalem, then completely destroyed the city and slaughtered up to one million of its inhabitants. The two million Jews who survived this calamity were then sold into slavery or exiled from their own land and scattered abroad to all the nations. When the Roman army levelled Jerusalem, they fulfilled Yeshua’ (Jesus) prophecy; “As He approached Jerusalem and saw the city, He wept over it and said, ‘If you, even you, had known on this day what would bring you peace …but now is hidden from your eyes. The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. They will level you to the ground, you and your children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you,’” Luke 19:41-44. The Romans also completely demolished the Jew’s Temple of worship thus fulfilling another of the Lord’s prophecies (Matthew 24:2; Luke 21:6). Yeshua’s love and compassion for the house of Israel was evident by His ministry to the poor and sick and by His lament over Jerusalem in Matthew 23:37-39.

God is in control of History and His appointments with the destiny of Israel and the nations have already occurred but several appointments remain to be fulfilled in the very near future! Ezekiel was raised near the Temple in Jerusalem and had studied to be a priest and was among the Jewish captives taken to Babylon when Nebuchadnezzar captured Jerusalem. He saw the visions of God and the heavens were opened (Ezekiel 1:1). In Ezekiel 37 he was given an astonishing prophetic vision about the rebirth of Israel that would occur in 1948 just as detailed in chapter 3. He foretold that Israel would rise from the “graveyard” of the nations, where she was buried in the ruins of Jerusalem in 70 AD by the Roman army led by Titus. Centuries of persecution followed God’s chosen people and then the Holocaust where sickening scenes of huge pits of skeletal remains of victims in “death camps” of the Nazi’s formed part of Ezekiel 37 vision of 2,500 years ago. The Lord asked him, “Can these bones live?” And, his answer, “O Lord God you know!” Yet God told him to watch a miraculous resurrection of these “dry bones,” and as he prophesied as the Lord commanded him to do, breathe came into them and they lived and stood upon their feet, an exceeding great army (Ezekiel 37:10). Today Israel has the world’s third most powerful air force and possesses more tanks than any nation, other than, US and Russia. Israel is the fourth most powerful army behind US, Russia and China. Someday in the near future the final war will be fought as armies come against the re-established State of Israel and will fall into their “graveyards” on the mountains of Israel just as predicted in Zechariah 12:2-3, Ezekiel 38, 39.

The "Graveyard" of Germany’s Nazi Regime… For the next nineteen centuries, the Jews were dispersed to foreign nations and they regularly suffered from "pogroms," or from the organized massacre of Jews by the inhabitants of those countries. Then, in the 1930s and 1940s, the complete annihilation of the house of Israel nearly occurred when Hitler and his Nazi Germany systemically slaughtered six million Jews, by first gassing them and then burning the corpses in ovens …some were even burnt alive or buried alive in mass graveyards. Hitler intended this holocaust to be the "final graveyard" of the Jewish people! When the American soldiers discovered the "Jewish graveyard" left by the Nazis in Europe – as well as the survivors of the concentration camps, they were unprepared for what they saw and shocked by what they found. The surviving Jews had no homes to return to, little or no family remaining and were suffering in dire poverty. "And he said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord Jehovah, You know.  Again He said to me, Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the Word of Jehovah. So says the Lord Jehovah to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live," Ezekiel 37:3-5.

Interesting, before we can understand what happens at death we need to understand the basics of how life happened! The Bible tells us that when God made Adam in the Garden of Eden, the man became a living soul… "The Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul," Genesis 2:7. Notice it doesn’t say that God "GAVE man a soul," but rather, "man BECAME a living soul." The Lord God formed man from "the ground" – combined it with the vital "breath of life from God" produced a soul. When someone dies, it is creation in reverse. "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was, and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it," Ecclesiastics 12:7. The spirit that returns to God at death is the energizing breath of life given by God in Genesis 2:7. We see this in Job 27:3, "All the while my breath is in me and the spirit of God is in my nostrils." Here Job is talking about "the breath of life" mentioned in Genesis 2:7 and in fact is the very same Hebrew word "Neshamah, Nefesh" in both passages. Similarly, "ruah" is the animating force from God; most often used as "wind" and may also be used as "breath" and the "ruah" ends its association with the mortal body at death (Genesis 6:3).

Israel as a nation was literally dead and the Jewish people scattered across the nations… but, from the ashes of the holocaust, God miraculously "breathed into the dry bones" and gathered the Jews from ALL the nations and brought them back to their own land. This extraordinary event fulfilled Ezekiel’s prophetic vision in which God breathes on the "dead bones" (the house of Israel) and causes them to come together and return to their own land as one nation (Ezekiel 37:5-14). Where did they return from…? They were to come from (and still are today) nations where they were dispersed, across the earth - literally from the "dust!" God also told Ezekiel that when He restored the Jewish people to their own land as a sovereign nation, they would no longer be a divided kingdom. "…And I will make them one nation in the land on the mountains of Israel, and one King shall be king to them all. And they shall not still be two nations, nor shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all," Ezekiel 37:21-22. All this was singularly fulfilled on May 14th, 1948 when the British officially left Palestine and on the same day, the State of Israel was immediately declared by David Ben Gurion, acting as its provisional Prime Minister and Israel was reborn as a modern nation. America was the first country to officially recognize the new State of Israel – eleven minutes after it was declared. U.S. President Harry Truman signed the letter of recognition – despite the objections by The United States Secretary of State George Marshall and the entire State Department. For the first time in twenty-nine centuries (since 931 B.C.) …Israel was NO longer divided into the two kingdoms of Judah and Israel (also called Ephraim). Like many Biblical prophecies, Ezekiel’s vision is multi-layered. It includes a near term, partial fulfilment and a complete fulfilment in the distant future. In this case, the captivity and return of a relatively small number of Jews from Babylon in 538 B.C. was a partial fulfilment of Ezekiel’s vision. In Ezekiel’s vision, a vast number of Jews were slain …a great multitude (the whole house of Israel) were scattered in exile to many nations; and, finally, "an exceedingly great army" of Jews were brought back by God to their own land to be one sovereign, undivided nation. Only the remarkable events of 14th May, 1948 begin to completely fulfill Ezekiel’s vision of the valley of the dry bones.

However, immediately after the declaration an all-out war broke out between the Jews and Arabs. Seven Arab armies attacked the new Jewish State – but were not united both militarily and politically. For example, the Arab League was established in order to counter - “the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem’s ambition to secure domination of Arab Palestine.” At the same time, King Abdullah of Jordan wanted to merge Palestine with his kingdom. Eventually, the Arab forces began to lose the war. As the war was raging the Jewish leadership begged the local Palestinian Arabs not to abandon their homes but the Arab leadership forbade the Arabs to return or live in areas under Jewish rule. Unfortunately, in one form or anther, the war and battles that still continues today!

God’s vision to Ezekiel actually contained two distinct provisions… God not only showed Ezekiel that Israel would be restored to her land and He also showed Ezekiel that Israel would be restored to her God and Messiah (Ezekiel 37:23-24). The Davidic kingdom is the prophetic term for the ruler-ship of the Messiah who is David’s descendent. Thus the first stage of Ezekiel’s vision (the physical restoration of the Jewish people back to their land as a sovereign nation) occurred on May 14th 1948 …however; the second stage of Ezekiel’s vision (the spiritual restoration of the Jewish people to God and the Messiah) has still to occur. Yet this will undoubtedly happen (Ezekiel 39:22-29)! Although God has brought the Jewish people back to their land, the Jewish people have not yet come back to their God. In A.D. 30, the nation of Israel (except for a small remnant) rejected (Jesus) Yeshua HaMashiach. As a result of their rejection of the Messiah, God not only dispersed the Jews to many foreign lands, He opened the door for the Gentiles to come into the kingdom of God (Romans 10:21-11:11). This marked the beginning of “the times of the Gentiles” in terms of God’s spiritual dispensation. At the end of His ministry on earth, Yeshua foresaw that the “times of the Gentiles” was about to begin. Thus for the last two thousand years, we have been in “the times of the Gentiles.”

From Genesis to Revelation, God’s love for Israel is a dominant theme. Throughout the Bible, God has revealed Himself as the God of Israel. Yeshua (Jesus) Himself declared, “Salvation is from the Jews” (John 4:22). It is only because of the temporary blindness of the Jewish people that God opened the door for the Gentiles to be included in His covenant promises. “Through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus,” Ephesians 3:6. Although the gospel of Christ is for everyone, it was intended for the Jew first. The apostle Paul proclaimed, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel; for it is the power of salvation to everyone who believes – to the Jew first and then to the Greek, Romans 1:16. God has not forgotten the Jewish people. God is not finished with them. “For just as you once were disobedient, but now have been shown mercy because of their disobedience, so these also now have been disobedient, that because of the mercy shown to you they also may now be shown mercy,” Romans 11:30-31. Because of God’s covenant promises to Israel, all Gentile Christians have an inherent divine obligation to bring the gospel to the Jewish people. When the house of Israel finally embraces Yeshua HaMashiach, God’s eternal purpose and promise will be fulfilled. Then both Jew and Gentile alike will become one body with one heart and mind in Yeshua (Christ Jesus).

What we trying to say here is that twenty-six centuries ago, God through His prophets declared the Jewish people would be restored first to their land and then to their God through His New Covenant in Yeshua (Jesus Christ ). Six centuries later, God through the apostle Paul declared the restoration of the Jewish people to God and their Messiah would occur when the fullness of the Gentiles had come into the kingdom of God. How will we know when that time comes? Yeshua Himself gave us the answer when He said “the times of the Gentiles” would be fulfilled when Jerusalem was no longer under the control of the Gentiles (Luke 21:28). This prophetic event occurred during the Six-Day War on June 7th 1967 when Israel regained sovereign control of the old city of Jerusalem for the first time in nineteen centuries. We believe this historic event signalled the beginning of the end of “the time of the Gentiles” as Yeshua (Jesus) declared. We are now in a time of transition at the end of this age. The time for the restoration of all things is at hand before the return of Christ (Acts 3:20-21). Although many more Gentiles will still come into the kingdom of God, particularly in the last great outpouring of the Holy Spirit, we are also on the verge of the day when a vast multitude of Jews will also come into the Kingdom of God through, Yeshua HaMashiach. If the fulfilment of the Ezekiel 37 vision is that Israel would be restored to her own land was miraculous …how much more glorious will it be when God restores Israel to Himself?

The re-birth of the nation of Israel on 14th May, 1948 signalled the beginning of climactic events that the Bible has been warning us about for thousands of years… The vision of the dry bones is an important Israel prophecy in that it is currently being fulfilled daily as Jews from all over the world make "aliyah" back to the ancient homeland and continues to grow as the current population in Israel stands at seven and a half million Jewish people. This is an astonishing example of Bible prophecy that defies the odds as it has NEVER occurred before on the world scene. An important Israel prophecy that we can see being fulfilled today is that the Israeli armed forces have become an exceedingly great army, so much to the fact that Israel has repelled numerous attacks against it by their hostile Muslim neighbours. The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) is the primary military forces that provide for the defence of the State of Israel just as predicted in Ezekiel 37.

Israel is one of the oldest countries in the world …and, at the same time also one of the youngest! It is the only country to have been reborn out of antiquity, revived after a struggle as dramatic as any recorded in the Old Testament. The Jews are the only people to have been scattered throughout the world, bitterly persecuted by most powers for over 2,000 years, and yet gathered together into a nation once again. Israel’s ancient language (Hebrew) is the only speech to have been "resurrected from a dead language" to a living, virile, modern one. The nation exists on a strip of land so narrow that on most maps its name must be printed outside its borders. Yet it possesses more historic and religious sites of significance to the world than any other country. Compressed into those narrow borders is a microcosm of the whole world, for the average Israeli, or his parent to have migrated from any of more than a hundred different lands. To live in Israel is like living in a pressure-cooker …it is always under tension! Yet, the nation continues to expand and develop more rapidly than other larger countries. Why…? GOD!

Israel is a nation where the almost miraculous becomes the normal! When Joshua led the people into the Promised Land 3,500 years ago, he had to battle against "seven nations greater and mightier" (Deuteronomy 7: 1). When the modern State of Israel was formed in 1948, it also had to battle against seven nations "greater and mightier" than Israel at the time: Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iraq, Egypt, and Lebanon! The invading Arabs were supported by a population of 40 million against 600,000 Jews in the Land. The Arabs were professional soldiers, better armed, and with far greater financial resources than the Israelis. Yet the latter won, and the State was formed. Against great odds, victory came again in the Suez Crisis of 1956. The Six Day War of 1967, the Yom Kippur war of 1973 in spite of the most sophisticated weapons being supplied to its enemies by Russia. There are more than Jewish brains and muscles in this success. It was predicted by God and recorded in the Bible. Therefore, in Israel the world witnesses a modem miracle. The nation is here to stay, for its destiny is clearly marked out in Bible prophecy. Israel’s revival is the great sign of Christ’s return.

Israel’s many enemies are today beginning to encircle her like hungry vultures gathering around a corpse (Matthew 24:28) The stage is set for the Bible’s final End-Time prophecies to be fulfilled. The Bible tells us that Israel will be surrounded by her enemies and threatened with imminent destruction (Ezekiel 38:15-16; Zechariah 12:2-3).

This is the culmination of the great tribulation for Israel, which the Bible prophetically calls the "time of Jacob’s trouble" (Jeremiah 30:7). The Great Tribulation will come upon the whole world (Daniel 12:1; Matthew 24:21-22; Luke 21:35). This will be an unprecedented time of worldwide calamity and distress and Yeshua (Jesus) described this as the time of "sufferings and birth pangs" (Matthew 24:8). But in the end Israel will be saved by God from the "eye of the storm" and restored to her Messiah (Isaiah 52:7-10; Jeremiah 30:7; 32:36-42; 33:14-16; Ezekiel 39:22-29: Zechariah 12:9; Romans 11:25-26). When we look at a storm - the "eye" is in the middle of a powerful, violent storm such as a hurricane. After the first destructive half of the storm, there is a brief calm in the eye of the storm before the last devastating half of the storm. And, the world will experience God’s wrath and judgment (Isaiah 63:1-7; Zechariah 12:8-9; Romans 2:5; Revelation 6:15-17; 14:7-11; 17-20; Chapters 16-18; 19:11-16).

The “Graveyards” of the near future… Palestinians have attempted to usurp control over Jerusalem, a city, that holds NO genuine significance for them and a land they never particularly wanted until the Jews occupied it again in 1948. God names the participants… “Yea, and what have you to do with Me, O Tyre and Sidon, and all the borders of Philistia? Will you give Me a reward? And if you reward Me, swiftly and speedily I will turn your reward on your own head,” Joel 3:.4. Tyre, Sidon and the regions of Philistia are the ancestral areas of the modern day Palestinians. God also takes exception to the argument that the Muslims claim His city, Jerusalem, in the name of their god (Allah) and points out that they were NEVER part of His sworn covenant for Israel that was deeded to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob forever. The Lord asks pointedly… “Moreover, what have you to do with Me?” The argument currently being put forth to justify Islam’s claim to the city of Jerusalem is that it belongs to God …and is that it is a Holy City given to His chosen people, and to be respected. God hardly considers the claim! “Are you going to reward Me?” God is plainly saying that He is quite capable of administering His City, Jerusalem, and thank you very much. God rejects the offer and hurls it back contemptuously. God brings to mind the destruction of His Temple, and more specifically, the arrogance and hatred of those who usurped its grounds to build a monument to another deity. After the Temple was destroyed in 70 AD, the Romans (Gentiles) scattered the Jews to the far corners of the earth. It was during this Diaspora that the city and the Temple Mount fell into the hands of Islam. “You have taken My silver and My gold, brought My precious treasures to your temples, and sold the sons of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks in order to remove them far from their territory,” Joel 5:6-7.

When the armies of the nations come up against Israel in the valley of Armageddon (Hebrew Har Megiddo – Mountain of Megiddo)… God warns them that He has a “graveyard” prepared for them in this last war against Israel“And it will be in that day I will give to Gog a place there, a grave in Israel, the valley of those who pass by, east of the sea. And it shall stop the noses of those who pass by. And there they (Israel) shall bury Gog and all his multitude. And they shall call it, The Valley of the Multitude of Gog.” Ezekiel 39:11 God will call for the feathered fouls of the earth to gather in Israel and to banquet on the flesh of the armies marching towards Jerusalem and upon the mountains of Jerusalem (Ezekiel 39:9-22). Ezekiel also tells us that that it will take Israel seven months to bury the weapons. This will be when God defends Jerusalem and Islam destroyed! Malachi 4 refers to a time of fierce heat when the attackers are burnt to ashes. This last battle of The Age sees the end of the godless World Government and ushers in the Millennium Reign of the Messiah as King over all the earth (Zechariah 14:9).

God confirms that His prophecy to restore the Jews to the land of Promise has been fulfilled… and that it is from that place, Israel, the place He appointed them, that He would gather them to battle and that they would be the instruments of His “reward” or recompense, or payback! God says that He is going to arouse them from the very places where they sold the Jews and bring them to come and fight in His Land! “Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up. Beat your ploughshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weak say, I am strong. Gather yourselves and come, all you nations, and gather yourselves together all around; cause Your mighty ones to come down there, O Jehovah,” Joel 3:9-11. We are the first generation in history to see all these things converge upon the world scene and coming down to a fine point …all at once but ultimately the details how it unfolds are all in God’s hands. Certainly we are presently living in the very perilous “last hours” of the last days when the earth is in great spiritual darkness and deception (Isaiah 60:1-2). The world is Godless, lawless and loveless. The nations are filled with corruption and nearly ripe for judgment (Genesis 6:11-12). People are lovers of self, lovers of money and lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. Multitudes are practicing a false form of “Christianity” but denying Christ’s power because they are not submitted to Christ’s authority (2 Timothy 3:1-5).

The Antichrist (the man of lawlessness) will come to power and deceive and control humanity (Daniel 7:25; 8:9-14; 9:27; Matthew 24:15; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12; Revelation 13:1-18). He will also persecute, imprison and kill the true saints of God (Daniel 7:21, 25; 11:33; 12:7; Matthew 24:9; Luke 21:16-17; Revelation 12:17; 13:7).

The church is beginning to show signs of apostasy and will experience a great apostasy when a great many Christians will fall away from the faith and betray other Christians… (Matthew 24:10; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3; 1 Timothy 4:1; 2 Timothy 2:18; Revelation 11:2; 13:7). But, the Lord will have an overcoming remnant of devoted believers and many will die as martyrs for their faith (Daniel 11:32-33; Matthew 24:9; Luke 21:16; Revelation 7:13-14; 11:7; 12:11; 14:4, 12-13; 15:2). We should ask ourselves, “When was the last time we read a book, yet the Bible? Statistics say one in four people have not even read a book in a year …but concerning is that Christians have a Biblical literacy problem and aren’t reading or studying what the Word of God says …yet prophecy? Over 40 percent of Christians read their Bible only occasionally! Because if we don’t read God’s Word it follows that we don’t know it! How can we know where we are going if we don’t read God’s road map for us – His Word…? The sad fact is if we as believers in Yeshua (Jesus) don’t know the true Word of God – the Bible, we will believe anything …even the lies of Islam! It is not a surprise for us that most churches no longer even preach about God’s plan for Israel because of their unbiblical views of “replacement theology” because they are no longer studying or reading the Bible through and most only read the New Testament. A great shaking is coming! The crucible of these trying events that has come upon the earth today WILL purify the faith of true believers who are called to be the Bride of Christ (Revelation 19:7; 21:2). BUT, “The people that do know their God shall be strong!” Daniel 11:32.

The earth shook 2,000 years ago on Calvary as Graves opened… but NOT all of the graves opened - on the Passover that our Lord Yeshua (Jesus) died… only those who were believers in Christ (Matthew 27:51-53). The graves were sepulchres carved into rocks with their entrances made secure by very large boulders but these rocks were split and the graves opened at the instant Christ died.

It was a powerful earthquake that split the rocks. It was a result of the victory “shout” of Yeshua on the cross the moment He died! Christ was in control of His death just as He was in control of His life that brought the light of “eternal” life to a world lost in sin. Who gave life to the bodies of the dead saint’s who had died before the Crucifixion? It certainly wasn’t the earthquake! God Himself caused the supernatural events on that Passover …and His saints walked from their graves into life incorruptible and eternal! Yeshua (Jesus) had conquered death and was the first fruit of the Resurrection! The open graves and appearance to many …and resurrection of the saints from the graves is a sure indication, just as Yeshua (Jesus) was raised from the dead we too will be either at the rapture or when the dead in Christ shall rise at His Second Coming!

The earth WILL shake again and graves WILL be opened again in very near future… Just like on the Cross at Calvary the Lord gave a “shout” so shall it be at His Second Coming when His feet touch the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem! And, with a “trumpet” of God we who are still alive will be caught up to be with the Lord together with the saints who have died before us (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Joel 2:11, Matthew 16:27-28).  Paul reminds us in, 1 Corinthians 15:50-57 that as believers we have the blessed hope of Christ’s appearing and at His Second Coming and those who are already dead will receive a glorious resurrection body (1 Corinthians 15:44, 51, Philippians 1:22-24; 3:21, 2 Corinthians 5:1-8 and John 14:1-3).

The sun is about to set on the close of this age… Christ, who first came as the “Lamb of God,” will soon return as the “Lion of Judah” and “King of Kings” and establish the glorious - Messianic Age (Isaiah 2:2-3; 9:6-7; Jeremiah 33:14-22; Ezekiel 34:23-24; Daniel 7:27; Micah 4:1-3; Zechariah 2:10-12; 8:3; 12:10-14; 14:3-19; Matthew 24:29-31; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10; Jude 14-15; Revelation 11:15; 20:4-6. One of the amazing things about the book of Revelation is how many themes and ideas that are introduced in Genesis, the “book of beginnings” find themselves culminating in the “book of the end” …what began in Genesis is brought to completion in Revelation – full circle: Genesis 1:1; Heavens and Earth created – Revelation 21:1; New Heavens and Earth. Genesis 1:5, 10, 16; Night, Sun and Seas created – Revelation 22:1, 5, 23; No need for Night or Sun or Seas. Genesis 3:19; Death enters history – Revelation 21:4; No more Death. Genesis 3:24; Man is driven from Garden of Eden – Revelation 22:2, 14; Man restored to Paradise. Genesis 3:17; Sorrow and Pain begin – Revelation 21:4; No More Sorrow! And, as our Lord Yeshua (Jesus) said, “Behold I am coming soon! My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done… blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city… The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!”… He who testifies to these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming soon.’ Amen! Come, Lord Jesus! (Revelation 22:12-14, 17, 20).”

God’s Word is true! He IS watching to see how the nations are treating His people. God will have mercy on Israel through Gentile believers acting as mediators towards them… This is one of the most amazing revelations ever given to the church – an opportunity to do something that carries the highest priority in the heart of God. Yet… sadly, so few have seen the potential and the rewards of serving God in this manner, as agents of mercy to Israel and the Jewish people! Israel was and still is despised today… and a despisable nation continually turning away from God but nothing ever altered the purpose of God for that nation. The despised element is always a noticeable element in the purpose of God. When the Saviour of the world came, He came of that despised nation; like IsraelHe Himself was “despised and rejected by men,” …and there is that despised element, “things that are despised God has chosen,” 1 Corinthians 1:28. Now more than at any time is the time to support Israel and the Jewish people… the Lord’s Brethren!
