Welcome to our... "The Feasts of the Lord" Articles!

SEVEN FEASTS’ OF THE LORD… which God instituted for His chosen nation of Israel are discussed throughout the Bible both in the Old and the New Testaments. However, only in one place; Leviticus Chapter Twenty-Three, are all seven holy days listed in chronological order. These holidays are called “The Feasts of the Lord” which simply means that they belong to God and are His holy days given for Israel to observe. (Hannukah, Purim and Independence Day are Celebrations with importance but are not commanded “Feasts of the Lord). All our teachings are available... and explained more fully... individually!

The term “Feasts” in Hebrew literally means “appointed times.” God has carefully planned and orchestrated the timing and sequence of each of these seven feasts to reveal to us a special story. These feasts (often called “holy convocations”) are intended to be a time of meeting between God and man for “holy purposes.” Since these seven feasts of the Lord are “appointed times” for “holy purposes,” they carry with them great sacredness and solemnity.

These SEVEN FEASTS are:

(1) The Feast of the PASSOVER

(2) The Feast of the UNLEAVENED BREAD

(3) The Feast of the FIRST FRUITS

(4) The Feast of SHAVUOT (WEEKS) OR PENTECOST

(5) The Feast of TRUMPETS

(6) The Feast of ATONEMENT

(7) The Feast of TABERNACLES

Unknown to the people of Israel, these Seven Feasts of the Lord which were instituted to them by God through Moses are types and shadows of the true events that will transpire in the life of their true Messiah; Yeshua HaMashiach - Jesus Christ, and to His Church that’s to be established in the New Testament.

Four of these seven holy days occur during the springtime. The first four feasts also known as the “Spring Feasts” - (Passover, Unleavened Bread, Firstfruits, and Weeks or Shavuot “Pentecost”) have already been fulfilled by Yeshua – Jesus Christ in the New Testament. The final three “Fall Feasts” (Trumpets, Atonement or Yom Kippur, and Tabernacles) occur during the fall within a brief fifteen-day period in the Hebrew month of Kislev which corresponds to the months of September/October on the Gregorian calendar.

As the four “Spring Feasts” (holy days) were fulfilled literally and right on schedule in connection with Yeshua's first coming but the three “Fall Feasts” will likewise be fulfilled literally and right on schedule in connection to the Lord's Second Coming. These final three feasts form the basis for what the Bible calls in Titus 2:13: "the blessed hope."

Israel was blinded until the “fullness of the Gentiles come in!” Most end time believers know that until this day, Israel is still blinded to the truth and knowledge that Jesus Christ whom they crucified is the True Messiah. God did that for a purpose – to call a Gentile Bride for Jesus Christ. Israel was blinded for a season to give way to the chosen elect Bride of Christ within the Seven Church Ages (Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamos, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodecia) for these to receive to the Gospel and to prepare ‘Herself’ for the rapture. Right after the “catching away” of the bride as spoken of in 1 Thessalonians 4:16 - 17), God turns His attention back to Israel once again to reveal Jesus Christ to the 144,000 elected Jews. Through the ministry of Moses and Elijah, the two olive trees of Revelation Chapter 11, these Jews will recognize Jesus as their Saviour, as Joseph of the Old Testament revealed himself to his brethren, Jacob's sons.

God does not deal with the Jews and the Gentiles at the same time. This is evident in the following writings of Paul in Romans 11.

Seven Seals to the Gentiles and Seven Trumpets to the Jews: as the SEVEN SEALS apply to the Gentile Bride… so will the SEVEN TRUMPETS apply to Israel. Seven Trumpets to Israel will signify the calling of the Israelites to the Seven Festivities in their latter-day significance. Moses and Elijah, the two prophets of Revelation 11, will bring a Message to the 144,000 Jews and will reveal to them the significance of the seven Feasts of the Lord given to them by Moses in Leviticus 23 as to its real-life significance in the Life of Yeshua (Jesus Christ).

The heavenly signs announced by the Lord that immediately precede His coming, and their application for our day in light of recent discoveries. If it is true that the Lord will take his Church during one of the next Feasts of Trumpets, does the Bible give more precisions on the eminence of this event? The Words of the Yeshua (Jesus): "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven and the powers of the heavens will be shaken." This is confirmed by the Prophet Joel: "The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord." (Joel 2:31) After the days of the great tribulation and before the return of the Lord on the earth, it seems that characteristic heavenly phenomenon will occur.

It is often said that the "moon changes to blood" at the moment of a total eclipse because it takes on a characteristic red tint… see our teaching of March 2013 on "The Blood Moons of 2014 / 15!"

All the same, without knowing the day nor the hour… we can know the moment or the period… from the signs that are given in the Bible! It is, therefore, not possible to prophesy the return of the Lord on a fixed day or hour, because this is information that the Father wanted to keep for Himself. But he did not leave us ignorant concerning the period of the return of our Lord. This indicates that we can and even must observe the signs and the times and the moments, like Paul said to the Thessalonians.

If the Lord decided to intervene in the history of men during the preceding Feasts of the Lord, that indicates a considerable importance in observing the times. That is part of the faithful Church's role, to carefully observe the times and warn the world and the Church of the importance of certain events, especially when they were prophesied in the Bible. It is what we are trying to do in this article.

All Christians know the passage repeated in the first three gospels: "Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place" Matthew 24:34; Mark 13:30 and Luke 21:32. If the recapture of Jerusalem can be interpreted as the fig tree that blossoms, we notice that those who were young at that time, on June 7, 1967, will be 50 years old in 2017. If the fifty following years do represent a jubilee period… and if we suppose that the rapture will happen at the end of a 49 year cycle to conserve the prophetic image of freedom for the slaves… the next occurrence after 2017 will be around 2067. At that time, those living in 1967 will be dead, and cannot be part of the generation that Yeshua - Jesus spoke about.

Having this information should not in any way take away our motivation or make us passive, waiting for the inevitable return of the Lord. But, on the contrary, it should stimulate us to redeem the time, and lift up our heads, because our deliverance is near! The time is very short! Let's double our efforts to warn those around us. We need be ready and watch constantly, no matter what moment the Lord may return! Let's live and act constantly as if return of the Lord will be in the coming days and weeks, knowing that it may come later! This way we will never be surprised, even if we must wait longer for His return!
