We are truly very excited for the next decade which is about to begin first on the Biblical Calendar and then on New Year’s Day on the Gregorian Calendar and want to share this with you …as the journey will begin as the sun sets in Israel on the evening of 29^th September, 2019 (the last day of the Biblical Year 5779). And, on Rosh HaShanah the 30^th September - Tishrei 1 - the first day of the NEW Biblical Year 5780 and a beginning of a NEW decade! The Biblical Year 5780 will coincide with our Gregorian Calendar Year 2020. It’s exciting! It’s Prophetic and is the moving from the “Ayin” “to see and watch” decade and to the beginning of the “Pey” “to say and receive” - perfection decade. So, an exciting new 10 years lie ahead where we have seen but now action it and receive – God’s favour!

What does the Hebrew the letter “Pey” Mean? It means “mouth” and represents “speaking!” “Pey” has a numerical number 80 and Spiritually the number of 80 means “Prayer!” When “Pey” has the “seed” (dot) inside it - we know it is prayer to the Son of Man, the Messiah - Yeshua.  When “Pey” has NO “seed” (a dot in the middle of the letter) it becomes “Fey.” (This is not to be confused with the “Soffit Fey” – “The Good Shepherd”). “Pey” is also the 17^th Hebrew letter and is also a Spiritual number in Hebrew meaning “Victory.” 

The Hebrew letter “Pey” is very similar to the Hebrew letter “Samekh” - with two exceptions; in “Pey” we see the “seed” in the centre and the surrounding circle is broken showing us that God opens a way out of our distresses! And, the number 2020 (according to Strong’s Concordance) is the Hebrew word “Hatstsalah” means “rescue” or “deliverance.” Where can we get an example from? Esther! “For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for ‘a time such as this?” - Esther 4:14.

Let’s examine further together! But before we do so let’s go back in time and compare Ancient Israel to our generation. Did you know that understanding of “the times and seasons” was nothing new to the Tribes of Israel, indeed, it’s even understood within Nature itself? Even before the outpouring of the Holy Spirit 2,000 years ago, the sons (and daughters) of the Tribe of Issachar were known to have a deep understanding of the times, and they knew by faith what it was that would need to happen next in order for the Jewish people and Israel to align themselves with God’s plans… “And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do” - I Chronicles 12:32. Moses' Blessing; "...And, Issachar, in your tents. They shall call peoples to the mountain; there they shall offer righteous sacrifices; for they shall draw out the abundance of the seas, And the hidden treasures of the sand." - Deuteronomy 33:18-19. 

The Bible presents a succession of “types” and “parables” which dramatic the power of the “Truth” …and unless we seek for those types and parables, we will NOT discover them - for they will pass by before our eyes unnoticed. Today’s times are NO different! Especially thanks to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit 2,000 years ago ALL who have understanding of the Spirit of God have access to the “Throne Room of God” …and are, likewise, able to “see and hear” what is on Heaven’s agenda for these times too. Holy Spirit filled believers are invited to join Israel and the children of Issachar to have understanding of the times and to know what it is that we as Judeo-Christian believers ought to do …since we the Church have our part to play alongside Israel!

With God nothing is just coincidence! The Twelve Tribes of Israel were placed strategically placed by God …and for His purpose (Deuteronomy 33:6–25). The Land of Issachar was sandwiched between the Tribes of West; Manasseh and Zebulun and was located primarily in the Jezreel Valley and the Ancient City of Megiddo, one of five Canaanite strongholds in the region, rested within the tribal boundaries of Issachar. Megiddo has been a site of bloodshed for thousands of years and vital in controlling the Jezreel Valley during Ancient Israel.

The Valley of Megiddo is the site of the future Battle of “Armageddon,” spoken of in the book of Revelation by Apostle John. So, we see as the sons of Issachar way back then knew the times for Israel and that they were located precisely exactly where the Battle of Armageddon WILL in future take place and it could be sooner than we think! Do we know the times for Israel? Are we aware of the “signs” of day? Our generation’s times? Interesting to note that Judah, Issachar and Zebulun were the three “forward Tribes” had three anointings: (1) Judah is; “Boldness, Passion for God, Praise and Leadership” (best symbol is King David). (2) Issachar is; “Listening to God – Prayer and Intercession and Prophetic.” (3) Zebulun is; “Business anointing; (resources) supplies / Administration.” With God Nothing just happens by chance! What does God want for our lives and for our families this coming new “Pey” decade? What didn’t happen for you last decade? Perhaps it’s now the time to speak it into existence!

The key stroke in the letter “Pey,” however, is the “dagesh” a small dot placed inside the soul at the tip of the divine spark. The presence of the “dagesh” is very important …in its absence the letter “Pey” takes on a new sound and becomes a “Fey” (pronounced with a soft “f” sound).

The Jewish Sages recall a story from the Talmud regarding Moses and Pharaoh to help alliterate the important distinction between “Pey and Fey.” At the Feast of Pesach (Passover) Jews are commanded to remember God’s goodness and glory for having taken the Jewish people out of Egypt. It is believed however, that Pharaoh did NOT profess the glory of God with his mouth as Moses had done …so the Lord God removed the “tooth” (the dagesh) from Pharaoh’s mouth and he was only able to speak evil because he did not know who God was. The hard “p” of Pesach and Passover thus became the soft “f” we hear pronounced in Pharaoh. The symbol is the same except for the “dagesh” or “tooth” that has been removed by the Hand of God. A “tooth” is often associated with “wisdom” in the Hebrew teachings of the Talmud. Rabbi’s say there will be some people in this next new decade 5780 (2020) who will have their “tooth” removed …for NOT speaking boldly of the glory of God according to the wisdom He has given them in His Word – the Bible! They will become known among the righteous …as men who do NOT know God because what they speak does NOT glorify God. “The heart of the wise man instructs his mouth and adds persuasiveness to his lips.” – Proverbs 16:23.

The Hebrew language is more than mere markings but a richly intricate system of symbols and hidden mysteries and Jews have long believed the Hebrew language to be the hidden language of Heaven! Unlike the Phoenician alphabets we know today, Hebrew symbols contain within them pictures that symbolize the movements of the heavens and earth below and help to give clues to the divine workings of creation. We believe that it is a Scriptural benefit for why Christians today are to consider such mysteries of faith …and participate with our Jewish Master, Yeshua (Jesus), in the blessings and traditions of the Hebrew revelations on “the times and seasons.” For many years we have taught on the “Feasts of the Lord” and its significance to our Lord and Saviour as well as “Prophetic Times and Seasons.” The Hebrew alphabet has such great meaning and is filled with nuggets that many Christians never see. Why? Because many are not taught or aware that the Old and New Testaments are connected!

On September 30, 2019 the season will shift to “Pey” with the commencing of the 5780’s…. as the number “80” and what “pey” represents WILL dominate this coming decade just as “Ayin” decade did.  With the change of the Hebrew year from the 5770’s to the 5780’s there will be a change in respect to the operating system, so to speak. One aspect of the “Ayin” is that of “a fountain,” which indicates a flow. This is an aspect or characteristic of the how the Spirit of God has been working in this current “Ayin” season ending. “Ayin” is the Hebrew word for an “eye.” During this Hebraic decade the focus had been on “sight,” both natural and spiritual. How we see, perceive and judge the things around us is done through the eye. Spiritual insight has been a highlight of the “Ayin” season. While God always gives spiritual insight there has been an over-arching theme that took place during the “Ayin” season. For example, the last decade that began 2010 and ending on the 29^th September, 2019 - has been all about “seeing” what God was “doing!”  And, it was about ALL of us alive today in our generation, our lives, plans and for the world around us. It is NOT so coincidentally conjoined with the Hebrew Letter “Ayin” a picture symbol of an “eye” and characterized modernly in the number 70. Every year during the “Ayin” Decade (2010–2019) coincided with another letter in the Hebrew Alphabet which was revealed in the early Jewish Talmud as having “Heavenly significance,” just as the instituted Biblical Feasts; Rosh Chodesh, Yom Kippur, Passover, the Feast of Weeks. etc.) …and the “appointed times” of the Old Testament. This 10-Year portal started in 2010 which was also the year 5770 on the Hebrew Calendar in “seeing” …and WILL continue until 2020 and 5780 of the Hebrew Calendar in “believing and receiving!”

What can we learn about the “Pey” decade that lies ahead? This coming year, 2020 in the Greco-Roman calendar, coincides with the Hebrew year 5780, and the number 80 being part of the “Pey” (pronounced “Pay”) Decade that begins at Rosh HaShanah this September 30, 2019. Just as 2019/5779 was a continuation of the last 10-years in the “Ayin” decade of the “seeing eye” where God invited us to “see” what He is saying, this year 5780 (2020) and the nine years to follow WILL be an invitation to “speak” what God has shown us in the last decade.  As “Pey” is the Hebrew letter for the number 80 and a picture symbol of a mouth ….discerning when to speak and when to be quiet will be a critical component during the next decade if we are to see the Kingdom of God growing in our lives and our world - through our declarations of faith. “Ayin” gives insight, but it is the “Pey” (mouth) that gives insight expression. Wisdom is the key; “The good man brings good things out of the good treasure of his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil treasure of his heart. For out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.” – Luke 6:45.

What is meant by having a 20/20 Vision? The term “20/20 vision” has been tossed about since the time we were children. In many instances, we heard that this was the “optimal,” or perfect kind of vision, and that those who had less than 20/20 vision basically had eye problems! Many have vision but don’t see clearly? Why? When an Optometrist says that we have “20/20 vision” - he/she is referring to our visual acuity, which is the “clarity” or “sharpness” of our vision. When the doctor tests for 20/20 visual acuity he is testing how well our eyes can see an object at a distance of 20 feet. So, we may have a vision for the coming year (5780) 2020 because it is at about “the now” – our generation or in the near distance future. Bible Prophecy always deals with “now” and “the then” - what lies ahead in the future!”

While “Ayin” was the last decade (5770-5779) of breathing in or taking in and “Pey” is the decade ahead (5780-5789) of breathing out and expression of “faith” in God in action! As the mouth is the expression of the breath through our mouths the breath becomes vocalized. The main channel through which breath is exchanged is through the mouth, thus the mouth becomes a powerful expression of the Breath of the Holy Spirit. It can also become a powerful expression of our own breath. In the Hebrew alphabet “Pey” follows “Ayin,” which emphasizes that sight precedes expression. Those who have spent a great deal of time “seeing” what God is saying or doing should have NO difficulty in the next decade expressing His thoughts in word and deed. Conversely, because the eyes are more emphasized than the mouth, those who are blind will speak blindly with an unceasing mindless chatter due to blind consumption!

So how do we prepare especially in these Last Days where everything seems upside down? We must stay vigilant and be awake in these days of great deception! “A man reaps what he sows’ Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” - Galatians 6:7–9. We must sow into the things of the Spirit and NOT the feelings or emotions or flesh …BUT, spend time worshiping, reading, praying and decreeing Bible Scripture. God’s Word warns us that things WILL get darker and eviller towards the Lord’s return. As believers we are to take Holy Communion as commanded by our Lord and to step away from things that are not good for us!  We are to “fight the good fight of faith” and refuse to be discouraged …because in due time we will reap a harvest of righteousness as we continue to sow blessings. 

The letter "Pey" has a numerical value of 80…. God will give us strength no matter our age. Moses was 80 years old when he led the Jews out of Egypt and according to Jewish tradition; "When one is 80-years old, he/she has reached a special strength!" We know Aaron was a great speaker! When God asked Moses to speak to Pharaoh - Moses humbly told God that he had a speech impediment! And, God responded; "Is there not your brother Aaron the Levite? I know that he can speak well. Indeed, he is coming out to meet you, when he sees you, his heart will be glad. You are to speak to him and put the words into his mouth; I will be with your mouth and with his mouth, and I will instruct you as to what you are to do. He will be your spokesman to the people; he will be a mouth for you, and you will be to him like God. You shall take this staff in your hand, with which you shall perform the signs." – Exodus 4:10-17. Here we read that God will be with us, just like he was with Moses, He will guide us, provide the help for us even when we are not able to. You see God will instruct His people …BUT, we must do our part in this coming new decade – and we "speak" – not be quiet! Signs will follow!

The letter "Pey" also has another unique characteristic in that within the "blank space" recognizable by the letter "Bet" (means house). The letter "Bet" is significant in Hebrew because it speaks of "Creation." Within this single letter is present the multi-layered richness of God’s design. Just as there is a revealed and hidden form of God’s Word available to each person who studies it - there is a revealed and hidden form of the "mouth." What is said in the home will be expressed outside the home. What is stored up in the heart is revealed through the mouth. The "Pey" season has a different aspect to it that of the mouth, and of blowing or breathing; The Scriptures that correspond with the coming "Pey" Decade are; Matthew 15:1-20; Matthew 12:34; Proverbs 16:23; Luke 6:45; Ephesians 4:29; James 3:2 …and Matthew 15:16-18 where Yeshua (Jesus) asked them; "Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them!" 

Some have wondered if the 6000 years God allowed humans to rule themselves is almost up? Then why are we at 5780 on the Hebrew Calendar …and what has happened to the 220 missing years to complete 6000? In the Bible, the Hebrew months are lunar (i.e. each month begins with the "birth" of the new moon). However, since Festivals/Feasts such as Pesach/Passover and Sukkot/ Tabernacles had to occur in the proper "agricultural season" (i.e. according to the solar year), it is obvious that the Jewish Calendar must be lunar-solar. This means that the lunar year (approximately 354 days) and the solar year Gregorian Calendar (approximately 365 days) had to be harmonized and adjusted to each other, a complex process that was meticulously refined by the ancient and medieval Rabbis. The Jewish day has 24-hours and starts when the sun sets in the evening. The Gregorian Calendar has 24-hours but starts at midnight!

In order to appreciate fully the meaning of the Jewish Biblical holidays and their relationship to the “seasons,” to “historical events” …and to each other it is necessary to have a basic understanding of the Jewish calendar. The main purpose of the Biblical Jewish Calendar is, and always has been …to set the dates of the Feasts or Festivals. Our present Gregorian Calendar has its roots in the Torah …but it has been modified by Jewish religious authorities through the ages. The principle rules were established by the Sages and Rabbis of antiquity and were supplemented by medieval scholars. In Talmudic times, the regulation of the calendar was the exclusive right of the Jewish leadership in the land of Israel - particularly that of the Nasi (Head of State and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court). Since that time, such regulation has been regarded as a task of crucial importance for the observance of Judaism.

BUT do we really know what time it is…? Eliezer Shulman was a Historian and Writer in Israel and he wrote about; “The Sequence of events in the Old Testament.” Using his tables of events, it appears that a major error of fact that loses some 220 years? We refer to Exodus 12:40-41 - traditionally deemed to start when Abraham was 70 years old at the Exodus. However, he states that the 430 years relate to the children of Israel NOT to Abraham and his children. And if that is so the Jewish Calendar started 220 years before and according to him the clock started “ticking” only with the children of Israel …that is with Jacob/Israel’ children – the Twelve Tribes?

Assuming the Israelites were in Egypt for 430 years? “Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, (was) four hundred and thirty years. And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the self-same day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt.” – Exodus 12:40-41. After all, the Scripture seems to clearly say that they were there for 430 years. But, to make the situation seem even more confusing… “And he said unto Abram, ‘Know of a surety that your seed shall be a stranger in a land (that is) not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;’” - Genesis 15:13. How long were the Israelites actually in Egypt?  Was it 400 years or 430 years or possibly a different number of years?   

There are a few other verses that contain vital information that will enable us to understand more clearly… “And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.” – Galatians 3:17. Here we see the Law (10 Commandments) were given at Mount Sinai just 3 months after the departure from Egypt (Exodus 19:1), was “430-years after” …after the making of the promise to Abraham. That promise was the one made first with Abram at age 70 before he left Ur and re-confirmed with him, his son and his grandson; “For if the inheritance (be) of the law, (it is) no more of promise: but God gave (it) to Abraham by promise”, - Galatians 3:18. We find that promise that God made with Abraham was confirmed to him in Genesis 12: 1-3; 22:16-19 and to Isaac in Genesis 26:3 and to Jacob in Genesis 28:13-15; Psalm 105:10. Abram (later changed to Abraham) was 75 years old when this Covenant was confirmed at Haran and 25-years later, when Abraham was 100 years old, Isaac was born (Genesis 21:5). Isaac was 60 years old when Jacob was born (Genesis 25:26).  In Genesis 47:8-9 we are told that Jacob was 130 years old when he and the rest of the 70 souls (Genesis 46:27) came into Egypt and began their stay in that land.  Therefore, do the addition: 30 years from the Abram’s call to the birth of Isaac (100-70) plus 60 years to the birth of Jacob plus 130 years more until Jacob entered into Egypt = Total 220 years.

Subtracting 220 from 430 we find that the time in Egypt was another 210 years? The calculation of the years of the Jewish Calendar, according to the Talmud, was done in the 2 AD by Rabbi R. Yose. His Rabbinic chronology is called the “Seder Olam Rabbah.” Since the Rabbinical chronology from the time of Creation to the end of the Hebrew Scriptures is relatively clear, the discrepancy between the Rabbinical calendar and the Christian Gregorian calendar reckoning of time relates mainly to the inter-Testamental period (silent years?) for which there are NO Biblical records. This period is referred to by secular historians as “the Persian period.” The Babylonian Empire was overthrown by the Medo-Persian Empire (539 BC) …and it is the length of the Persian period that is in dispute. The Rabbinical chronology says it lasted 52 years (with 34 years of domination over Israel). The accepted chronology of historical experts says it lasted 207 years?

A remarkable new book has recently been published which examines this problem of the “missing years” in more detail. It is called; “Jewish History in Conflict.” – written by an Orthodox Jew by the name of Mitchell First. He points first to the narrative works of the Greek historians of the Persian period such as Herodotus and Thucydides. They all agree that the Persian rule spanned the years 539 to 332 B.C. and included the reign of ten kings. The author states that it is unlikely that the Jewish sages in the 2^nd Century had access to these histories …but even if they did, they probably held them in contempt. Next, the author points to the unified testimony of later historians like Diodorus and Plutarch in the 1^st Century AD. All of these historians record a much longer Persian period than what is contained in the Rabbinical chronology. The author then points to the Biblical record as contained in Ezra and Nehemiah. Ezra describes four separate Persian kings reigning in the order contained in the conventional chronology of the Greek historians (Ezra 4:5-7). He also points out that Nehemiah lists a succession of high priests of the Persian period, and that the list is too long for the Rabbinical chronology (Nehemiah 12:10-11).

What about the verse we read in Genesis 15 mentioning 400 years? How is that reckoned? Notice that verse again; “And he said to Abram, ‘Know of a surety that your seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years.” We find another account from Stephen, Acts 7:5-7; “And God spoke on this wise, that his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years.” Both verses very specifically indicate the 400 years is to be regarding “your seed” or “his seed.” Now let’s go back to… Exodus 12:41; “At the end of the 430 years, to the very day, all the LORD’s divisions went out of the land of Egypt.” It is stated in this verse that the event took place on “the very day!” The Covenant with Abraham occurred on the very same day - the 14^th Nisan (1^st month) …and, as we see the sacrifice of Isaac also was at the time of the later to be commanded as a “Passover” sacrifice (Exodus 15:5-7). It also appears that it was in the springtime (Genesis 30:14) - (“mandrakes” are grown in springtime) when Jacob and his family entered Egypt to live there. Undoubtedly this event occurred on “the same day.”  The day Isaac was “selected” to be the sacrifice was the 10^th Nissan (1^st month). That was the day the Passover lamb was “to be selected” (Exodus 12:1-13) and slaughtered 4 days later on 14^th Nissan - the same day Christ rode into Jerusalem and was “selected” by the Father (John 12:28) on 10^th Nissan. Yeshua (Jesus) was crucified on 14^th Nissan (1^st Month).

God does things on schedule at His ‘Appointed Times’… God had promised to take His chosen people - the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob from the land in which they would be enslaved 430 years after His Covenant promise to Abraham. And, we have seen that He was doing it EXACTLY to this very day as He is bringing them from the Nations where they were scattered back to Israel. Yes, and all this is happening right before our eyes! God had been very definitely watching and vigilantly working all events out so that it happened on His Timetable. For example; God spoke to Moses from the “burning bush” and said that He had seen the affliction of His people; “I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians...”  - Exodus 3:8. God had NOT forgotten them and everything was on schedule at the right “appointed time” just as God had prophesied.  He had prepared Moses and He had worked it out so that Moses would have the necessary training for the Exodus which Moses acquired in the palace of Egypt …and in the far side of the desert (40 + 40 years). 

In Exodus 3:1 we see that Moses kept the flocks of his father in law, Jethro, in “the far side of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.” Horeb and Sinai are used almost interchangeably, although there’s some discussion as to whether Horeb may have been the name of the mountain range and Sinai the specific mount. Never-the-less, it was in this very area that Moses had spent time with the flocks and had become very familiar with the territory. In addition to “bringing Israel out of Egypt” God also was committed to fulfil His promise to Abraham to judge “…that nation, whom they shall serve,” - Genesis 15:14. Also, He had promised that after He had done that, the people would “come out with great substance.” When God spoke to Moses from the “burning bush” He repeated this promise, that the people would be given favour in the sight of the Egyptians and they would “not go empty.” (Exodus 3:21) It all came down to “the very same day.”  (Exodus 12:41) What a marvellous and wonderful God who was continually vigilant and observing His people, who was working out ALL the many events that took place over 430 years.  A magnificent God who had everything culminate on the exact day the 430 years, the 400 years and the last 210 years were up - It is the same for us today! So, if you feel that you are in a “wilderness” or “desert” …remember that God is still in control and has NOT forgotten you and is working it all out “according to His plan” and for your good – at the right “appointed time!”

No one knows with absolute certainty what year it is, but the Biblical record clearly points to the conclusion of six thousand years of human history… If this is true, the time for a millennium of rest from the tribulations of life seems appropriate …and is certainly implied by God’s rhythm for accomplishing His purposes. Again, we see it as one more of many signs that point to the fact that we are living on borrowed time. Maranatha Lord!  Are you ready for the “Pey” decade of “perfect order” …?

God’s Word is true! He IS watching to see how the nations are treating His people. God will have mercy on Israel through Gentile believers acting as mediators towards them. This is one of the most amazing revelations ever given to the church – an opportunity to do something that carries the highest priority in the heart of God. Yet, sadly, so few have seen the potential and the rewards of serving God in this manner - as agents of mercy to Israel and the Jewish people! Israel was and still is despised today and a despised nation continually turning away from God BUT nothing ever altered the purpose of God for that nation. The despised element is always a noticeable element in the purpose of God. When the Saviour of the world came, He came of that despised nation; like Israel… He Himself was; “despised and rejected by men,” …and there is that despised element; “…things that are despised God has chosen,” 1 Corinthians 1:28. Now, more than at any time is the time to support Israel and the Jewish people - the Lord’s Brethren! We are witnessing the nations and people turning their backs on Israel.
