The new peril we face … more than any time since the Crusades… is that Islam poses a serious threat to the whole of Western Judeo – Christian civilization. Nations of the EU and NATO and almost all of Africa are now being seriously threatened from within by a rapidly expanding and demanding Muslim population that is bent upon forcing “Islamic Shariah law” upon their host nations. Similarly the US and Israel now face in Islam the greatest threat to their survival.

For many years now we have also been teaching and warning our fellow South African’s about the dangers of Islam and of the revival of Islamic fundamentalism. But we must confess that we were not fully aware of just how great a treat this would pose to the Western World.

Meet the new enemy…! With the new threat, however, we are confronted by entirely new dimensions of antagonism with enormously great dangers. We do not face a political force but a religion that has an estimated 1.4 billion followers worldwide. The religion produces an alarming number of passionate followers who believe that it is their duty to Allah to die as martyrs in a pursuit of conquest against those who would restrain Islam from subjecting the world to their religion!

Today, Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world… And, most certainly the increasing radical fundamentalist Muslim represents not only the greatest threat to world peace and stability, but also the greatest challenge to the Western World, much of it now secularized but with roots in Judeo-Christian faith. To appreciate the growing power and influence of Islam, you must look beyond the population figures. Muslims now control, to some extent, about fifty of the world’s most important countries – from Indonesia in the East, through the oil rich states of the Middle East, to Senegal on the Atlantic. These countries control vast wealth and unappreciated commercial resources.

At least seventy of the world’s one hundred and eighty four countries are considered part of the Dar-al-Islam – the “house of Islam,” land over which Islam rules!

It is a religion practiced in the jungles of Africa, the sands of the Sahara, the oilfields of the Middle East, the mountains of Asia, and the islands of the Pacific. Islam is increasingly making its impact felt in traditionally Christian parts of the world. “Funded by vast resources of Arab oil money, the Muslims are buying abandoned Anglican Churches and turning them into mosques at such a rate that some Muslim’s claim that England will soon be the first Muslim European country!” As said by, Robert Morey.

Because of a lack of true knowledge about what Islam’s sacred books teach western and church leaders are proceeding unknowingly down an impossible path. The mantra constantly repeated by “politically correct” governments and many church leaders today is that “Islam is a religion of peace and love.” Sorry to disappoint… that is just NOT what the Quran, the Hadith and the history of Muslim conquest clearly teach. It is true that not all Muslims are fundamentalists, thank God for that. But when anyone of them gets serious about his/her faith and becomes zealous about what their holy books teach, he/she is a candidate becoming what we know as a fundamentalist terrorist!

Islam is especially rapidly growing in Australia, Canada, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Holland, Spain, France and the Unites States who has an estimated eight million Muslims, and we in South Africa should take a serious look at this growth too. The latest demonstration of Islam’s growing power is the Muslim’ demand to build a mosque a few blocks from the “ground zero” in the ashes of the 9/11 World Trade Centre in New York. And alarmingly Turkey has also built a huge mosque in Mid Rand, South Africa!

Islamists have issued such treats of violent retaliation for perceived insults to their Quran and Mohammed that countries are virtually intimidated in allowing Muslims religious liberties beyond those granted to followers of other religions. Muslim’s are successfully bullying their way into extracting all kinds of religious concessions from governments including our own. “The governments of the world should know that Islam cannot be defeated. Islam will be victorious in all the countries of the world, and Islam and the teachings of the Quran will prevail all over the world.” Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini of Iran.

Fundamentalism the real threat… At least ten percent of the Muslim population are fundamentalist and therefore are potential terrorist threats.  And, intelligence information indicates the percentage of fundamentalists is growing! History shows that the devout Muslim fundamentalists are one of the most lethal threats that the world has ever known and the chilling news is… that the fundamentalists is on the brink of possessing the most destructive weapons the world has ever known… and this is thanks to certain terrorist sponsoring Muslim countries like Lebanon, Syria and Iran. Contrary to previous wars, the world can be hit by a major terrorist attack and not know exactly where to retaliate!

This enemy hides in the shadows and mingles with citizens of the nations… He has Muslim sympathisers that give him aid and shelter.  As the Islamic world developed untold wealth through oil, its military might has increasingly been strengthened. The only thing standing in the way of the Muslim nations achieving some decree of equality with the west is their tendency to fight among themselves… and there is only one cause that can rally them together, and that is hatred for the Jewish State and Western civilization. And, Islamic fundamentalism is the driving force that is rallying all Muslims to “Jihad” for destroying Israel and replacing the western world order.

The Western World… has set a goal to turn Islamic countries into democracies even though a western style democracy is totally contrary to the kind of government taught in the Quran. In Islam, religion and government are woven together, and both are inseparably patterned after the tribal culture of the 7^th Century Arabian peninsular and this is why Islamic nations have such a hard time fitting into the modern world. Two examples of this are: the Shah of Iran used all of his power to separate religious structures from government organizations and to create a modern nation that could compete in the industrial west. Iran became a flourishing nation… but the Shiite fundamentalists rebelled against the Shah’s move against modern culture. As soon as the Ayatollah Khomeini returned to lead a revolution, he dragged Iran back to the 7^th Century of the Quran.

Personal freedoms were wiped out overnight and hundred’s of thousand’s of Iranians were imprisoned and executed. A country that had once been a friend of the US became their sworn enemy and labelled them as the "great Satan" and Israel" as the "little Satan!"

The other example is that in 1923, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the revered father of modern Turkey brought Turkey out of its backward non-productive society and began its transformation of Turkey into a modern industrial state. He eliminated the Sultanate and Caliphate which were the joint political and religious arms of the fallen Ottoman Empire.  He gave women full political and social rights and eliminated polygamy and harems.  But for decades, Islamic fundamentalists have sought to overthrow it. In 2003 the fundamentalists finally came into power with the election of a religious leader, Recep Tayip Erdogan. Since then, Turkey has begun to leave the Western world and re-enter the Islamic world. The Turks have pulled away from NATO of which they have been a part since 1952. The US and Israel have been snubbed!  Both Israel and the US has given much valuable military and technology training to Turkey during their previous times of friendship and now both may face those same weapons in future conflicts. This could be expected because Turkey is part of the Gog Magog invasion predicted in Ezekiel 38.  There is also a power struggle between Turkey, Iran and Egypt as to where and who the new Caliphate will be.

Many don’t know that… Julie and I stayed seven years in Turkey and personally saw and experienced in many ways this radical change taking place - from a moderate to a staunch religious government. During our time there went to prison for handing out Bibles and as lecturers at the largest university in the east of Turkey finally had three days to leave the country as we were labelled "a threat to the nation of Turkey and a friend of the Jews" and banned from re-entry.  The AKP (Justice and Development Party) which took power in 2003 began its vice grip almost immediately and persecuted anyone who did not follow Mohammed and teachings of the Quran. On the 18^th April, 2007 three friends of ours, (two Turks and a German national) were brutally tortured and murdered with their throats slit in the S.E. town of Malatya, Turkey. Their murderers were from the Turkish Hezbollah group which has been known to "hog-tie" their victims while torturing them and have ties to the Lebanon Hezbollah group.

At this moment in history Islam represents the single greatest threat in the world to the survival of western civilization… A second holocaust would occur in the Middle East if Iran is allowed to get nuclear weapons and has formed a binding pact with Syria, Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza to launch a co-ordinated attack against Israel with these nuclear weapons.

The significance of an ancient family feud…! We believe that all of these clear and present dangers can be understood only by learning how this conflict began between descendants of the biblical patriarch; Abraham 4000 years ago. There is a perfect word that describes the Arabs "venomous" feelings towards Israel. It is the word… enmity! The dictionary defines enmity as; "the extreme ill will or hatred that exists towards an enemy."  It infers a state of hatred that has been nurtured over a long period of time.

At the beginning of the 21^st Century, it is hard to imagine how a 4000 year old family feud could cause the whole world to become involved. Yet, this is exactly what the Bible predicted in the last days. These prophecies spell out the exact scenario of events that will come together shortly before the end of history as we know it. Central to this scenario is the re-igniting of the ancient conflict between the Israelites and the Arabs. The conflict has risen and subsided at various times since the destruction and dispersion of the Jews in AD 70. Today’s headlines aren’t about Western or Asian civilizations; they are about the peoples of the Middle East….! For the first time in modern history, ancient Biblical names are making global headlines. One of the main predicted signs that the world is entering the "last days and the end of history as we know it" is that the strategic centre of the world would shift back to the region where history began.

The hatred of Jews in Islam is justified as a religious cause. Islam literally resurrected the ancient enmities and jealousies of the sons of Ishmael; Esau, and Keturah, towards the Jews and enshrines that evil into a basic doctrine of their religion. "The power struggle between Israel and the Arabs is a long-term historical trial. Victory or defeat is for us questions of existence or annihilation, the outcome of an everlasting hatred!" - Al Riyadh Saud, Saudi Arabian leader. "The war is open until Israel ceases to exist and until the last Jew in the world is eliminated;" Hamas leader.

Before Muhammad and Islam, the spread of hatred for Jews were largely confined to the Arabs and the Arabian peninsular. But, after the hatred for Jews became enshrined in the Quran and their Islamic sacred traditions, wherever Islam has spread, hatred for the Jews has spread with it like an epidemic virus. Here is a graphic illustration… Muslims in Indonesia are not Arabs, neither have they had much contact with Jews nor have they a natural relationship to “Palestine!” But they hate Jews because it is part of their religion and faith. The same can be said of the Muslims of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Chechnya, and so on! They are not Arab but they caught their hatred of the Jews like a super contagious disease. 

Throughout the Old Testament there are warnings of judgements to come for the nations that surround Israel. This judgement is for two reasons: Their attitude and hatred towards the Jewish people, and for their constant desirous plans to take the land of Israel as their possession… “Because you have said, these two nations and countries will be ours and we will take possession of them,” even though I the Lord was there, therefore as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I will treat you in accordance with the anger and jealousy you showed in your hatred of them and I will make myself known among them when I judge you.” Ezekiel 35:10 - 11

God will judge these nations by way of natural catastrophes, (earthquakes, etc) and by also empowering the nation of Israel to defend itself against attacks. The whole chapter of Ezekiel 35 speaks of God’s judgement in the mountains of Israel where her enemies will fall!

“But on Mount Zion will be deliverance; it will be holy, and Jacob will possess his inheritance. Jacob will be a fire and Joseph a flame; Esau will be stubble, and they will set him on fire and destroy him. There will be no survivors from Esau.” The Lord has spoken. Obadiah 1:17-18

Islam is nothing less than a religious, cultural imperialism that is determined to subject the entire planet to Islamic rule… This is why Muhammad divided the world into two spheres: Dar-Al-Islam (the house of peace and Dar-Al-Harb (the land of war). Muhammad believed that the Muslim is in a perpetual state of jihad or holy war with all countries in the Dar-Al-Harb sphere. The true follower of Muhammad believes that Allah has world Muslims to subject Islamic culture and law upon the whole world… either by conversion or by the sword. Islam believes this doctrine is especially applicable to all of the Middle East which Muslims claim as the centre of their world. Furthermore, they believe that any land that had been captured and held by Muslim forces in the past is sacred o Allah. And, when the Jews declared Israel a State in 1948 the Islamic world called it; Al-Nabka (day of catastrophe). The continuing presence of the Jews in Jerusalem is now regarded as the ultimate blasphemy!

And, it is viewed by Muslims as a desecration of their “third holiest place in Islam,” an insult to Allah that must be removed and cleansed at any cost. Israel’s victories over the “armies of Allah” in five major wars have even placed faith in the Quran in jeopardy for it promises the forces of Islam victory in “holy wars.” Some devout Muslims fervently believe that this is something that must be avenged for the sake of the Quran’s accuracy. Nothing can cleanse this insult to Allah but an ultimate military defeat to Israel!

The Quran pulls no punches in its denunciations of both Jews and Christians… it says in Sura 5: 51; “Oh you who believe do not take the Jews and Christians for friends; for they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide unjust people.” Violence is endemic to the Arabian culture… and has been a continual fact of life for the Arabs. This is a common threat that runs through historical accounts of their culture. An early Arab Poet gave expression to the guiding principle of such light in two verses: “Our business is to make raids on the enemy, on our neighbour, and on our own brother in case we find none to raid but a brother.” How perfectly the prophecy of Genesis 16:12 about the sons of Ishmael fits this… “His hand shall be against everyone and everyone’s hand against him.” Equally fitting is God’s prediction concerning the other part of the Arab people the sons of Edom from Esau, as we read in Genesis 27; “your dwelling will be away from the earth’s riches, away from the dew of heaven above, you will live by the sword.” Wherever the Edomites went they lived by the sword. No wonder they responded so quickly to the call of Muhammad to convert to Islam.

It is startling that the Arabic language has almost a 1,000 names and synonyms for the sword… The only other word in Arabic that can rival that for multiple names is camel… Both the sword and the camel were considered essential for life in the Arabian culture. It is important to note today how many Arab nations have the insignia of the sword in their national logos. This un-mistakenly shows us what has always been important to Arabs!

Muslim mythology… Many myths have been spun to suppress the facts about Jewish immigration from Arab lands!  Two examples are… Myth 1: The Arabs have nothing against Jews in general and “lived in peace and harmony with them until the creation of the Zionist movement and the consequent state of Israel in 1948.

Myth 2: Israel’s US supplied military has practiced continuous aggression against the neighbouring, basically “peaceful” Muslim nations who are only trying to right a terrible wrong forced upon them by the West.  The cynical myth of all however… is the lie that Jews enjoy freedom, liberty, and kind treatment while dwelling in Muslim ruled lands before the rebirth of Israel. Here are some facts from impartial observers of how the Jews or non-believers (dhimmi’s) were treated: In their Holy Land, the Jews as well as Christians suffered long from harsh discrimination, persecution, and pogroms. According to the British Consulate in 1939; “the Jew’s life was not much that of a dog.” In truth, “Arab” terrorism in the Holy Land originated centuries before the recent tool of “the Palestinian cause was invented!” In the early 17^th Century a pair of Christian visitors to the city of Safed in the Galilee, told of life for the Jews… “Life here is the poorest and most miserable that one can imagine!”  Because, of the harshness of Turkish rule and its crippling “dhimmi” (non-Muslim) oppression the Jews… “paid for the very air that they breathed!”

The monstrous myth… “That there was no problem for the Jew living peacefully with the Muslims until the rise of Zionism and the founding of the State of Israel” is a classic example of Muslim “turn speak” and the cynical hatred that motivated it. The Muslim idea of humane, peaceful treatment for the Jews it to have them subjected to the status of second-rate citizens; to be available as taxable assets; to be scapegoats for whatever leadership failure of calamity that comes along; and to be objects to hit, kick, rape, rob or murder whenever Muslims just need to let out their aggressions of frustrations! 

Let us reflect upon the words of former British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli… “Where is your Christianity if you do not believe in their Judaism? On every altar… that we find the table of the Jewish law… all the early Christians were Jews… every man in the early ages of the church by whose power of zeal or genius the Christian faith was propagated, was a Jew… if you have not forgotten what you owe to this people, you as Christians would be only to ready to seize the first opportunity of meeting the claims of those who profess their religion… I will NOT take upon me the awful responsibility of excluding from the legislature those who are of the religion in the bosom of which my Lord and Saviour was born!”

It Makes no sense whatsoever… for the West to be disarming… while Islam is arming! While we are dismantling our missiles and nuclear warheads, Islamic nations are buying and building intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of showering nuclear death on any city in Europe, Israel or even the US. We stand in some ways like those few brave Europeans who just before World War II warned people of the Nazi threat to world peace. They took the rhetoric of Hitler at face value and saw the build-up of war and terrorism across the world… while others dismissed Hitler and his ‘brown shirts’ as buffoons, a few people sounded the alarm. Sad to say, their warnings were ignored! “Peace” was Chamberlain's swan song and the world was lulled to sleep while the Third Reich armed itself for war.

We are in much the same situation today… The Muslim threat to the peace and security of Israel and the West… is as real as was the threat of Nazism and Communism! If God does not intervene, the day will come when a mushroom cloud will appear over a major Western city signalling death and destruction unparalleled in human history.  

The apostle Paul warned us that… “If the trumpet is not blown loud and clear, the people will not prepare for war!” (1 Corinthians 14:8). Ezekiel tells us that… “We are watchmen who have the responsibility to warn the city of an approaching army of death and destruction.” If we fail to warn people of the coming war (today it’s with Islam) their blood will be on our hands. (Ezekiel 33:1-6)

In order to convince people that Islam constitutes a clear and present danger to the peace of the world, we MUST first demonstrate that Islam has the will and the desire to destroy us and, second, that they will soon have the means to do so. The Muslims have the will and desire to destroy Israel and the West… The Quran commands its followers to launch jihads or holy wars of conquest to force conversions to Islam: “Fight and slay the unbelievers wherever you find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war.” (Surah 9: 5) “Fight those who do not believe in Allah or the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and his apostle, nor acknowledge the religion of truth (i.e. Islam), even if they are people of the Book, until they pay the tax with willing submission and feel themselves subdued.” (Surah 9: 29) “Seize them and slay them wherever you find them.” (Surah 4: 89, 91)

Muhammad’s armies attacked defenceless caravans at first and during times of truce and peace.  He then sent out his armies to conquer and loot small villages. Cities were later put under the sword. Ultimately, entire nations fell to the sword of Islam. Entire populations were slaughtered and great cultural treasures were either looted or destroyed. Recorded in their book; Hadith, the second most important duty in Islam according to Muhammad is Jihad or Holy War. The blood lust of Islam is thus rooted in a perverted religious impulse to kill and mutilate in the name of Allah. This is what makes it so wicked. The killing of innocent men, women, and children in the name of Islam becomes a thing of praise and a badge of honour. They believe that the more you kill the more Allah is honoured, and, that the greater the destruction, the greater the glory of Islam.

The Muslims have the means and the will to destroy anyone opposing their beliefs! Islamic fundamentalists plan on putting together an Islamic empire composed of Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Yemen, Egypt, Sudan, Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Nigeria, the former Muslim Soviet states such as Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and other Muslim nations in Asia. Their plan is on schedule… and they are taking over country after country while the West sleeps securely with its naive dreams of endless peace and prosperity.

“When everyone is saying ‘peace and safety,’ sudden destruction will come upon them.”1 Thessalonians 5:3 The Lord gave this prophetic word to Jeremiah, denouncing those who made false declarations of peace to His Chosen People: “… Saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace!” Jeremiah 6:14 …Then as now there were those who were more concerned with promoting an agenda than telling the truth… We thought of this Scripture when the Secretary of State John Kerry was in the Middle East in May (for the fourth time since replacing Hillary Clinton) to promote peace talks. We have watched these efforts play out for years and have seen US leader after US leader declare that finally the pieces were in place for a new round of peace talks, and that this time it would be different… that there would actually be concrete and lasting results. There is just one problem with all of these declarations of peace being at hand… there is NEVER peace between two groups unless they both actually want peace…! It is possible to reduce violence for a time, but as long as one side is committed to continuing to fight, there will be no meaningful peace. This is the situation Israel faces today. Many years ago Prime Minister Golda Meir said, “There will never be peace until the Palestinians love their own children more than they hate ours.” As you read these words today, Palestinian children are being taught that Jews are “descended from apes and pigs” (a declaration made publicly by Egypt's President Morsi a few years ago) and that they have no right to any land in Israel. No talks, no diplomacy, no concessions will stop that. The only way for the cycle of violence to end is for the Palestinians to acknowledge that the land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people… and this they will not do. Only God has promised that it will come someday to Israel… but when this peace will be a false peace that will be broken! The only TRUE peace will come when Yeshua (Jesus) the “Prince of Peace” returns! Maranatha Lord!

Many horrible things are happening in Syria but all the main-line media is reporting is how terrible the Assad regime is and how barbaric the Syrian army is...  We certainly will not defend the Syrian Army; they are barbaric as the same could be said about other Arab armies. But these so-called Arab ‘rebels’ in Syria are being controlled by Islamic extremists and they bring the word ‘barbaric’ to a horrible and unbelievable level of cruelty to the human race. On the 16th May, CNN released a video that shows a Syrian rebel, from the Iranian Hezbollah cutting the heart out of a fallen Syrian army officer and eating it… and these are the ones who want to replace the current Syrian government!

What needs to be understood when talking about Islamic Arab governments is that there are no words that can be written which show the evil that has controlled these murdering monsters for decades. “Islam” means “Submission!” And the moment a country or even a person - “submits”… it is all over! They win, and then they go into the next step of taking over!

Israel has to take action sometime in the future to secure its military advantage over its enemies. Iran is very happy to see Syria in the news because it keeps Israel from attacking Iran. Israel cannot attack Iran if Syria has weaponry that is at least equal to Israel. In Isaiah 17, someone takes very decisive action on Damascus. The city is unliveable in Isaiah, and this might happen as Israel has to retaliate stronger against the Damascus regime. A nuclear device over Damascus would be devastating, and could also be the hook to bring Russia into the mountains of Israel.

The Golan Heights is an area of land north of Israel which borders Syria. It is disputed land. It is hilly and has hills and small mountains. Is this the area Russian troops and its allies are destroyed? Ezekiel states the ‘axis of evil’ that will invade Israel in the last days are laid waste on the mountains of Israel? The devastation will be so severe in the Ezekiel invasion that it takes Israel seven years to clean the residue from war. The account sounds like chemical or nuclear devices were used during the conflict. Maybe both were used. The events of Ezekiel are being set up. If this is the moment, everything is falling in place. The only one who truly knows is our Father in Heaven!

We could go on and on, but all you need to do is read and stand upon God’s Word. It is all there! It has all been prophesied and we are watching the fulfilment of these prophecies come to pass before our very eyes. We also know that God’s Word centres on Israel, the Jews, and Jerusalem in the end days!

Every Christian should wholeheartedly support Israel and the Jewish people... There are many Biblical reasons for this support, but there is one that is highlighted in the pages of Scripture. The Eternal promise of God is that those who are a blessing to the descendants of Abraham will be blessed by Him. Genesis 12:3 is not a conditional or limited promise; it is an everlasting promise that is still in effect today… Because Isaac was the covenant child of Abraham and Sarah, the land was promised to him and his descendants rather than to Ishmael and his descendants… and because of that covenant; the blessing promised is especially meant for those who are a blessing to the Jewish people.

How can we bless the Jewish people…? One of the most important ways in which we can be a blessing to them and secure God's blessing on our lives and families is to support their God-given right to live in safety and security in the Promised Land of Israel and their eternal capital, the Holy City of Jerusalem. Many Christians today do not acknowledge this Divine right. This unbiblical position and failure weakens their testimony, weakens the nation of Israel, weakens our nation, and in fact, places us in great jeopardy of God’s judgment. The truth is that anyone who seeks the blessings of our Heavenly Father MUST… make sure that this command is obeyed. This promise is not just for individuals!. The same verse promises a blessing for “the families of the earth.” This is a generational and national promise as well as an individual one. There is nothing more important you can do for your children, your grandchildren, and your country than to secure the blessing for them by blessing Israel and the Jewish people. For those who have been grafted into the Jewish root and have felt the supernatural love of God for the Jews and Israel in these days know the importance of all this.
