![]() Why support ISRAEL in End-times? Shalom Partner and Friend of Israel, We are living in a sobering moment in history that calls us, as believers in Yeshua (Jesus Christ), “to take a stand with Israel!” We are the people of the LAST hour. We are NOT to be passive in the face of Bible Prophecy! We are called to pray with passion and to intercede for Israel …and to minister according to the Words of our Savior who said we MUST “watch and pray” (Matthew 26:41) especially more so when we see the things of Luke 21:28 happening …and as we see the END approaching. As true Judea-Christian believers it is our responsibility to be about the Kingdom business until our Lord comes (Luke 19:13). This is NOT about Politics! This is about the Word of God – the Bible… although political ramifications are extremely dramatic. Scripture declares there WILL come a time when ALL the Nations of the world WILL turn against Israel. It is so highly conceivable that this could happen in our time as there is NO other generation before us that witnessed Israel back in their Land of Promise…and so it is critical to outline why we should stand with Israel today. Israel is a land about which God says, “this is MINE!” The land is the Lord’s Land, and it is His to assign and dispose of; “The land shall not be sold permanently, for the land is Mine!” – Leviticus 25:23. Israel is God’s unique, Prophetic and Redemptive, plan for the world …and God says so repeatedly in the Bible! This land belongs to Father God, and it is the land of His Messiah: “…and the stretching out of his wings will fill the breadth of Your land, O Immanuel.” – Isaiah 8:8. God refers to Israel as He does to NO other Country or Nation on Earth… Israel was raised up to be “a light to the Gentiles.” The Church at its inception was virtually entirely Jewish …and it remained so until the Gospel began to spread. Ultimately, the Gospel spread to Antioch, where the first Gentile congregation began, the base from which the Gospel spread into ALL the world! “Lord, You have been favourable to Your land; You have brought back the captivity of Jacob. You have forgiven the iniquity of Your people; You have covered all their sin. “– Psalm 85:1-2. When we talk about Israel, we are dealing with a piece of property that God has made pronouncements about and the people (Jews) to whom He had given the land. It is a MAJOR issue with the Creator of all things, and it is non-negotiable! Things that God has said uniquely about Israel have NEVER been rescinded. Not only does the land belong to God, but also God has committed the land to Abraham and his offspring through Isaac forever. (Genesis 17:7-8). The Modern State of Israel is NOT a Colonial project …it is a homecoming! The Jews are a people exiled for centuries and since 1948 returning (making Aliyah) to their ancestral homeland! Israel is a Nation Prophesied - scattered, persecuted …and now restored. Jews did NOT steal the land …they inherited it! It is the ONLY place on earth where they have ever been truly safe and fully themselves …and even more now that safety is fragile. To deny Israel’s right to exist is an assault on identity and “spiritual blindness.” As followers of Yeshua (Jesus) we cannot ignore His Jewish identity. We cannot erase the Covenant Father God made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob …AND we cannot be SILENT when His people are under threat! ![]() The first reason to stand with Israel, therefore, is because the Lord commands us to do it! The second reason to stand with and love the Jewish people is because God loves them and gave salvation to everyone through them... Not only did Salvation come via the Jewish people through their rejection of the Messiah BUT we read, “…what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?” - Romans 11:15. The Jewish leaders of 2,000 years ago rejected the Messiah when He came to give His life for our sins. However, multitudes of Jews followed the Lord Yeshua and believed in Him …but the Authorities, in their corruption, did NOT understand what was happening. Yet the promise of the Scripture is that “…all Israel will be saved,” - Romans 11:26. This National Salvation WILL be a turning point for the ENTIRE world in a capacity NEVER seen before, as Israel’s appointed destiny is to be “a light and blessing to the world.” Reason number three to stand with Israel is …because the future of the world depends on it - for ALL of us - for our families - for our friends - for our Nations! Israel’s Salvation is the KEY, and the Gentiles have an instrumental role in that Salvation. Every believer is charged to make the Jews a priority in their value system and to render thanksgiving from their hearts for God’s work through them as a people! The Word of God calls Jews the “ROOT” and Gentile believers the “BRANCHES.” We’re reminded that because of unbelief, some of them were broken off and stand by faith,” we as true believers are NOT to become too haughty or proud; “…For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either.” When the fullness of the Gentiles is completed, “all Israel will be saved.” - Romans 11:16-27. We’re dealing with “the ROOTS” of everything that has to do with the Revelation of God to humankind. The proof of this is in the very existence of the Jews as a people …and the fact that they have been restored as a Nation. What does it mean to bless or to curse? Is the relationship of restoration or destruction observable in the lives of others based on their choice ‘to bless’ or ‘to curse’ the God of Israel? ![]() Today the struggle is over Jerusalem …and over Israel …and over the presence of Jews …and their right to have a land. There are only a few Nations at present willing to make an abiding commitment to stand by the Jews and Israel …but the Bible says God WILL honour those who do. In Genesis 12:3, the Lord says in the Covenant He makes with Abraham: “I (God) will BLESS those who bless you (Israel), and I (God) will CURSE him who curses you (Israel); and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” This relates NOT only to a people (the Jews), but it also relates to a land (Israel). What does it mean “to bless?” Approximately 4,000 years ago God made a promise to Abraham, a descendant of Shem (Genesis 11:10-26). Abraham means; ‘Father of a Multitude’ …and God made Abraham to be the father of a multitude of Nations. God promised Abraham a land, a seed, a nation, blessings, and Divine protection. The Hebrew word “to bless” is “barekh,” …which comes from the ROOT word “barakh” and denotes; “spiritual and physical enrichment, abundant in quality and/or quantity …because of the posture of the heart.” “Barakh” literally means; “to kneel,” giving honour, preference, deference and service to another! ![]() The God of Shem (where the Hebrew word “Hashem” - meaning “God” comes from) …will personally bless and restore those individuals and / or Nations with; “fruitfulness and prosperity, spiritually and physically“…to those who give honour and preference to Israel, the descendants of Abraham through Isaac, by offering them a helping hand because they have conditioned their hearts towards Israel’s God. So, what it means to “Curse?” The Hebrew word for “curse” is “arar;” it means; “to bind with a spell, to hem in with obstacles, to render powerless to resist.” The word used to curse you (Israel) is “qalal;” it means; “to be small, to be lessened, to be insignificant, of small worth, execrate, and to bring a curse upon oneself.” When these thoughts are united together it paints a disturbing picture. Those who “curse you” (Israel) connote one who would; “impose a barrier, belittle, hate and call down judgement on Abraham and his descendants. The verse could be translated; “The one who treats you lightly, stops you from fulfilling your calling, belittles you.” The words: ‘I must curse’, denotes “spiritual and physical misfortunes” which gives way to utter misery and despair, for God Himself is doing the judging and pronouncing the curse upon the individual and / or Nation. In summary, the one who curses Israel and her God …binds them-selves in a spell that renders them powerless to resist their own destruction! The general attitude of the world today regards the Palestinians as the underdog! BUT Israel is defending the Land Covenanted to them. In 1917 established and by the United Nations Assembly in 1948. The Palestinian goal is NOT to secure a homeland …BUT instead to drive Israel out altogether! For the sake of mounting public opinion against Israel, surrounding, well-resourced Arab nations have NEVER offered refuge to the Palestinians and are used for Western finances. The majority of the world doesn’t know this, and nobody is bothering to tell them because sympathies are so overridden by other forces. To stand with Israel is NOT to oppose Arab peoples as an entity …NOR to oppose the rights of Arabs who are living in Israel to a peaceful, politically secure, and prosperous life. Standing with Israel means standing against those who seek to harm or undermine Israel as a Nation. Tragically, today most Christians DO NOT understand how blessed we are because of the Jewish people… It is NOT taught in most Churches! Many believers in Yeshua (Jesus) in the culture of today …NOT only don’t understand WHY they should stand with …or WHY they should support Israel …BUT sadly, instead openly take a stand against God’s Land and people. Is this tiny country called Israel - perfect? Of course not! But perfection was NEVER a pre-requisite for God’s love. Quite the contrary! The Word of God commands us as believers to; “pray for the peace of Jerusalem.” - Psalm 122. Jerusalem is NOT an imaginary place! It is the Capital of Israel… both the ancient times and in our lifetime - the Modern State. It is referred to as the; “city of the Great King,” - Psalm 48:2, Matthew 5:35 …and it is where Yeshua our Messiah is returning to reign! Nobody can change God’s mind of Covenant with Israel and that’s a fact! As believers we should be on God’s side and His terms! ![]() Our Lord wept over Jerusalem and so should we! Yeshua (Jesus) died on a Roman Cross and rose again in Jerusalem and someday soon WILL return to Jerusalem …and there is a “redemption story” being written there that we want to be part of! To remain neutral in the face of rising Antisemitism is to normalize it. To ignore Israel’s pain is to condone the lies that fuel it. Silence is complicity! As believers we can’t be consistent with the entire Bible Scriptures …BUT then choose to take a position that is against the Jews and Israel! When we put our faith in the Redeemer Yeshua who came through the Jews, we enter into “a lineage” of those God chose; Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Israel) …accordingly to His revealed grace and redemptive purpose; “Rejoice, O Gentiles, WITH His (God’s) people (Jews) He (God) will provide atonement for His (God’s) land (Israel) and His (God’s) people (Jews).“ – Deuteronomy 32:43. Scripture declares that, “Spiritually speaking,” when we receive the Lord Yeshua the Messiah, WE (Gentile believers) become grafted-in …a Jew (Romans 2:28-29; Galatians 3:26-29). Today, our world is caught up in the stream of “spiritual forces” greater than humanity, dark forces that cannot be over-thrown Politically …or by the power of persuasion! These “dark forces” can only be broken by intercessory prayer where “principalities and powers” are cast down! The same “dark spirit” driving Islamic hatred and terrorism is equally opposed to Christians just as it is to Jews …and in time WILL eventually bring persecution to both! Just as Scripture states there are two witnesses that will be put to death in Jerusalem at the very END of time (Revelation 11). there have been “two-witnesses” that have stood for God throughout History; the Jews and the Christians! The hostilities and terrorist’s attacks are just as levelled at Christians …as they are at Israel, because there is a “spirit” in the world that is against ALL the God of Israel and His Word - the Bible …and everything about Yeshua (Jesus Christ). We are called to stand with Israel today as people of the LAST hour… The Lord has called us to be moral and with Biblical conviction, walking wisely and knowing His Word. He will honour those who make an abiding commitment to stand with the land that He calls uniquely His own - Israel (Psalm 122:6). So let us keep standing – proclaiming Louder – Firmer and Clearer. Not in hatred of anyone BUT in honour of God’s Chosen people – the Jews, who have defied extinction! A people who blesses the world even when the world curses them! With God’s help we at Pra4Zion WILL remain faithful to Israel even in the most difficult times! We MUST always choose to remember - “Why stand with Israel?” Because TRUTH demands it. Because HISTORY affirms it. Because our FAITH compels it. Because God’s LOVE requires it! The Word of God itself is our firm and unshakable foundation. The Bible is filled with specific, powerful promises concerning the Nation of Israel in these Last Days …and these Prophecies form the basis for ALL Christian understanding of the End times! ![]() The Prophets of the Old Testament (speaking the very words of God) foretold a dramatic story for God’s chosen Nation… They Prophesied that because of "disobedience to God’s law" Israel would be scattered among the Nations of the world in a painful exile. Yet, in the same breath, they Prophesied a miraculous return. The prophet Ezekiel declared God’s promise: "For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean… I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you" - Ezekiel 36:24-26. The prophet Jeremiah confirmed this, saying God would "bring them back to the land that He gave to their fathers!" And this happened on 14 May 1948 exactly as God said it would! This shows a God who is both just in His judgment and faithful in His love. God’s plan is NOT thwarted by human failure! Instead, Israel’s failure makes God’s final act of restoration even more glorious… The End times for Israel are NOT about a Nation receiving a reward it has earned …they are about a loving ABBA - Father miraculously purifying and restoring His chosen child. The physical regathering of the Jews to their land – Israel …is the necessary stage for the "spiritual" regathering to the heart of God. This reveals the stunning character of our God, Yahweh: He is perfectly just, NEVER ignoring sin and yet He is perfectly faithful, NEVER abandoning His Promise. Israel’s End-time story is the ultimate display of God’s sovereign GRACE - a redemption that comes NOT because of Israel’s goodness BUT …because of God’s Holy Name and His unbreakable Word; "So, says Jehovah, who gives the sun for a light by day and the laws of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, who divides the sea when its waves roar; Jehovah of Hosts is His Name; if those ordinances depart from Me, says Jehovah, the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before Me forever. So, says Jehovah, If the heavens above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth below can be searched out, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, says Jehovah, Jeremiah 35-37. So, we as believers think on this; “If God can revoke His Promises to the Nation of Israel, then we Gentiles also have NO assurance of our own personal salvation? In the Scriptures - God the Creator says only if …the SUN, MOON, STARS, SEA, NIGHT, DAY etc. cease to exist …then only will Israel cease to exist! Remember God is faithful to His Covenant Promises to Israel and to the Church – the Body of Christ! Our God, Israel’s God, is a promise keeping God! Shouldn’t we be thankful that God does NOT love us because of our perfection? NO! Because nobody is perfect …and so God loves us in spite of our imperfections! It is the same with Israel. God entered into a Covenant with Abraham and his descendants …and He, after so many Centuries, He is still working through the Covenant in achieving His Will because His promises NEVER fail. When Jewish people, after nearly 2,000 years of EXILE and unspeakable suffering finally and supernaturally returned to their ancestral homeland …and established the Modern State of Israel in 1948 …it was as if the LAND itself was in exile, recovered and was revived upon their return! Many Judea-Christians around the world saw this as a direct and stunning MIRACLE of God.! ![]() For them, it was a “super sign” that God’s Prophetic TIME Clock had begun ticking loudly for ALL to hear. You see, for Centuries many interpreted God’s Biblical promises “figuratively or spiritually,” believing that a LITERAL return of the Jews to the land was simply impossible …and so the event of 1948 changed everything …and Israel reborn. Suddenly, from then onwards it seemed that these Ancient Bible Prophecies could and should be taken seriously and literally. Yes, the event of 14 May 1948 changed everything! Suddenly, “the awakening” as it now seemed clear that these Ancient Prophecies were meant literally for the Last Days Generation. We can stand in awe of what God has done in our lifetime (our generation) recognizing His faithfulness to preserve His Ancient people. At the same time, we can hold fast to the belief that the ultimate, glorious fulfilment of ALL God’s Promises awaits the day …when the Nation of Israel turns its eyes upon “the ONE, they have pierced,” and welcomes their TRUE King and Messiah, Yeshua Ha’Mashiach (Jesus Christ). This allows us to feel the wonder of current events happening in our days without the shifting sands of Politics. The Bible is sounding the alarm! ![]() We know wholeheartedly that our God does NOT change…. BUT sadly, many believers and Churches today have NO problem seeing Israel as God’s Covenant people in the Old Testament …but have a problem with the New Testament so that changed. Only true Judea-Christian believers understand that God has NEVER forsaken Israel or His people (the Jews) and neither should we. In Romans 9–11 Paul is writing to Gentile followers of Yeshua (Jesus) in Rome specifically about Israel and the Jewish people and why Christians should support Israel; “Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” - Romans 11:28-29. Israel still matters to God even more so - right now in the Last Days of the Church Age. Earlier in Romans we read: “What advantage then has the Jew, or what is the profit of circumcision? Much in every way! Chiefly because to them were committed the oracles of God.” - Romans 3:1-2. This is NOT the Old Testament we are reading; this is the New Testament! As Christians, we are to love, unite and especially stand with Israel…. God’s love transcends ethic groups, race, boundaries and Nations encouraging us to embrace our faith through acts of kindness and support of God’s beloved Land! Standing with Israel is both a personal and a communal act of love that empowers us and reinforces the power of faith. Together, we can achieve so much more in our support for God’s chosen people! By supporting Israel, we participate in God’s magnificent Divine plan, embracing His promises, and trusting in His faithfulness. Together, we can move forward in our journey by sharing blessings with God’s Chosen people - Israel as believers – chosen “for a time such as this!” Let us keep our hearts open as we pray for Israel’s peace and well-being for this beloved Nation. This is NOT just about Israel but about fulfilling God’s calling for all of us. Ever wonder why the Lord sent Peter to the Jews and Paul to the Gentiles? And doesn’t it look like God got that mixed up? Messed up a little? Paul could identify with the Jews a lot better than Peter could. Peter was on the offence to the ones that he was sent to. We believe that one of the reasons was that like Peter people want to minister to those that they feel comfortable with… who are like them and so that they do not have to get out of their comfort zones. BUT God wants us to be totally dependent upon Him and to get out of the boat and walk on the water! Israel needs Christian support NOW more than ever! “They were pleased to do it, and indeed they owe it to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in the Jews’ spiritual blessings, they owe it to the Jews to share with them their material blessings.” – Romans 15:27. Paul emphasizes the debt of gratitude that Gentile believers owe to the Jewish people. As Christians, we have received “spiritual blessings” through Yeshua (Jesus) who was born a Jew. To support Israel is NOT only an act of honouring our “spiritual heritage” BUT also a practical expression of gratitude. We have a responsibility to stand with and provide material blessings to the Lord’s Brethren in a time of need. As supporters of Israel, we at Pray4Zion and Partners understand the seriousness of mistreating Jews …or attempting to DIVIDE the land that God had given them, (Joel 3:2). We at Pray4Zion stand for justice, equality, and the preservation of Israel’s rights as a Sovereign Nation and against any form of anti-Semitism. “For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.” – Isaiah 62:1. We must speak out and advocate for Zion, for Jerusalem’s sake and refuse to be SILENT while Israel’s right to exist and thrive is questioned or threatened. Our voices become powerful tools in defending and promoting the truth about Israel. We speak out against misinformation, prejudice, and discrimination by shining a light on the Nation’s remarkable achievements and resilience even in adversity. ![]() Pray4Zion is very thankful… for almost 19 years we have an opportunity to assist Israel in various ways in difficult times of war and especially after 7 October 2023. Pray4Zion and Partners makes a difference to; Widows, Orphans, IDF Soldiers, Messianic Schools, Holocaust Survivors …and children suffering from trauma caused by terrorism etc. May each small beginning in 2026 grow into bigger opportunities to be a blessing! We encourage partnership as we cannot do this alone as we sow a seed into very fertile ground and STAND together by being the difference, showing solidarity to God’s chosen Nation Israel …and as Christians show the love of God. It is a privilege to be called to do so …and there is NO better time to stand with Israel as the pressure is mounting against her daily with surrounding Muslim Nations seeking her destruction. May God bless you always! We most sincerely believe that God WILL bless you for your faithfulness and love for His land and chosen people. God’s Word is true! He IS watching to see how the Nations are treating His people. God will have mercy on Israel through Gentile believers acting as mediators towards them. This is one of the most amazing revelations ever given to the Church – an opportunity to do something that carries the highest priority in the heart of God. Yet, sadly, so few have seen the potential and the rewards of serving God in this manner - as agents of mercy to Israel and the Jewish people! Israel was and still is despised today and a despised Nation continually turning away from God …BUT nothing ever altered the purpose of God for that Nation. The "despised element" is always a noticeable element in the purpose of God. When the Saviour of the world came, He came of that "despised Nation" (and just like Israel) He Himself was "…despised and rejected by men." And there is that despised element; "…things that are despised God has chosen," - 1 Corinthians 1:28. We hope that you enjoy and become more informed by our work. We serve an awesome God and we are humbled by this opportunity to bring you this information.
